I came up with that one awhile ago and I believe JB was there to make it happen. We had several theads at the time with great history information in them, but after awhile they would get buried into Page 3 and beyond. My thought was to move the best threads about these legends over to that Legends of the Mat section so they could be easily found. Then maybe have a few threads started there as well well dedicated to specific teams or individuals that could be added too. While it has a good start, that forum never quite evolved that at way as future moderators weren’t as active with moving some of the best threads over to it. But I agree it was a great place to preserve these memories. It could be a great resource of information if used well.

Hoping this turns into a season long thread where we talk about upperweight specific highlights/chatter/questions and I will try to check in regularly to keep things fresh. First conversation is should Dayton Pitzer jump right in as the heavyweight for Pitt this year? Obviously the room knew what they were getting but I thought the transition to full heavy might take a redshirt year. Based on the wrestle-off result it looks like he could be positioned to make some noise in an ACC in transition at the weight. I watched Houghton at U23 trials beat Davison and I think he could be the top of 285 in the conference but there are no sure bets. They should get a good look at him as far as making that decision if they send him to the Clarion Open.

I bumped it up to 100 per day. I guess you guys love to react.

A separate board for MMA seems to be the best place to follow former wrestlers who’ve made the transition to the octagon.

I'm waiting for the domain to propagate before I finish the registration for that.

Oh I definitely agree. It’s more so the bottom issues that concern me. I root for Karchla. I started a whole argument accidentally the other day because I said wrestle offs are the next to last way I decide starters now

I would vote against a politics forum. It's too divisive and polarizing and nobody ever wins in a "discussion" a.k.a. an argument over politics.
