Here's the thing, though.  Nebraska's program, for the past few years, has been entirely comprised of the type of young men whom you'd want your daughter to marry.  So AJ is going to have to assimilate to the program culture and not the other way around.  For example, I've seen no fewer than 3 interviews with Jesse Mendez where he says that he has mixed emotions about having Brock Hardy as a rival, because Hardy is such a great dude.  Wrestlers all across the big D1 programs were posting on social media about how inspiring Peyton Robb is, including his rivals!  Nebraska has arguably the best true freshman heavyweight in redshirt right now, so AJ needs the Husker program more than they need him moving forward.

Sure that makes sense and what most reasonable folks would think but you are forgetting the bunker buster time bombs he set in GIA.

PS:  how did he behave in the pre match introductions and post match handshake line at the OSU dual on Devany?

The culture at Nebraska is obvious.  It is easy to see the camaraderie and the work ethic.  It's a class program and they now how to develop wrestlers.  I disagree that the AJ has to assimilate.  My experience is that one's true character doesn't change.  AJ can adjust or control his behavior, but he doesn't really change his character.  He played nice while on parole in California last year.  But, I'm watching the Neb-OSU dual and apparently Van Dee is wrestling right after strep throat, Taylor was sick, and there's AJ sitting on the bench, chirping during hand shakes.  In the mean time Ziola races out to the mat with a smile on his face and gives it his all.  The contrast between the other wrestlers on the team and AJ is stark.  AJ is the Jamie Tartt (Season 1) of college wrestling.

Usually probable cause requires some sort of identification. Unless the citing officer knew AJ personally, and saw him in the drivers' seat, or actually got his identification, a good judge would toss the crime at the probable cause stage. It's why a good police report will say "the defendant was identified at the scene using his drivers' license".

dashcam video? cctv camera video? i don't doubt that they could get a warrant by putting two and two forever for a judge with the name from the registration and a general description of the driver. i guess we'll see if he challenges PC.

The Texas charges were not dismissed.  The extradition order was dismissed as Ferrari's attorney made an agreement to appear.

Basically, Texas didn't want to pay thousands to bring Ferrari back and want him to return on his own.

like i said - he fought extradition so he could surrender himself to authorities outside of a prison transport.

It doesn’t appear that the charge was dismissed, just the extradition. Why waste Texas taxpayer to go get this clown in Nebraska. As for IDing him, if he drove off and never stopped, I’m sure they likely had a license plate reader and other means of IDing him that are likely more than sufficient in a modern court of law. Drive down most highways and interstates now and look up when you pass under signs, especially if there are toll booths, cameras and readers everywhere.

I think SHP was saying that they ID'd the car but that is not automatically being driven by the person it's registered to. But ... yeah probably enough for a warrant with just a general description of the driver as a giant slab.

The Focus needs a new car. 🚗

"U.S. Olympic sprinter Sha'Carri Richardson was arrested on a speeding charge after allegedly driving more than 100 mph in Florida Thursday."

AJ is going to go through Nebraska's Senior Day activities but Manning said are going to apply for a waiver to see if he is eligible for another year.

He should have another year regardless no?

2021 - Free Covid year (champ)

2022 - Freshman year (car accident)

2023 - redshirt

2024 - Oly redshirt

2025 - Sophomore year (Bakersfield)

2026 - Junior year (Nebraska)

This is how I see it as well.  Not sure a waiver is necessary?  Unless they are trying for two more years (car accident)?

Haha... look at Hardy. He begs him to stop and then -- after he recognizes the futility -- just shakes his head and covers his face in embarrassment.

97KG Yazdani is either going to be as wide as a house or look like an IMAR/Chris Perry love child.
