Update:

I will be adding Olvieri (Rutgers-141) back in my “Quilt” Graphic of unbeatens. He was sighted at the Bloomsburg Open winning all 4 of his matches.

I may be taking Crookham out as he not only took a medical loss but could very well be done for the year.

I am going to check with JB to see which of Stanich’s 4 matches count at Bloomsburg to update his win total

Not unbeaten related, but at 157, Rozynski was there healthy and won his bracket.

All 4 were against rostered D1 kids at 141.

Yep, they all count

And Crookham is removed for suffering the  MFFL

I do think it is lame that they divide up 141 and put Stanich in 141 A and Olivieri in 141B.  I mean God forbid they wrestle each other.  It was also obvious in the case of Crookham,’Stanich and Greg D that they were seeded 8th only to have an extra match instead of the bye the top 2-4 seeds received.

I could see the need for adding a few more footnote provisos:

6. Lost due to referee error or poor judgment (see lots of guys)

7. Lost due to being unaware of true score (see Mesenbrink vs. Carr in NCAA finals)

8. Lost because unable to make it to weigh-ins on time (see Jad'n Cox)

9 Lost existentially and unable to find wrestling purpose anymore (see Richie Figueroa)

10. Lost because surrendered mid-match (see lots of guys; most recently Carter Young)

Kyler Larkin might be finding himself as the one seed and that smells a whole lot like 125 Braeden Davis. This is coming from a guy who has predicted multiple natties for the Larkins but it won't be this year at 133. Can't wait for that bracket to play out.

How is that even possible?

Is that you Jimmy?  😉

Okay first of all that was rude. Second, Davino vs Blaze goes one way in the dual, Byrd gets the 1 seed, Davino and Blaze meet in B1G semis and the result is reversed, winner beats Byrd in B1G finals and all of a sudden Larkin and Forrest (and Seidel?) are all undefeated going into NCAAs. Larkin will probably remain the highest across the criteria just because that's how it goes and that's how he could realistically be the 1 seed. So that's the first half of my post, second half is simple: 133 is ridiculously deep, and based on said depth beginning Thursday night every match is AA caliber on the front, and Friday morning is do-or-die AA caliber on the back. It's very conceivable that someone could go 1-2 and if they wrestled it again they would be the NCAA champ. How often is the public consensus that a 3x NQ and 2x NCAA finalist not likely to even AA? Thems the breaks at 133 this year. It will be bananas.

Of course none of this matters because Lucas Byrd will repeat as B1G champ and NCAA champ. But I'm just throwing it out there as a hypothetical.

Predictions for who stays undefeated:

125 Seymour and Bouzakis

133 Seidel (Big 10 guys beat up on each other)

141 Mendez (Vega falls to Echemendia, Stanich falls to Composto)

149 Van Ness, Joy, Tyus

157 Shapiro, Duke

165 Mesenbrink (Lockett falls to Caliendo in rematch)

174 Haines and Ruiz

184 None

197 Barr and Elam

285 Trumble and Bastida

Lot of big ifs on the b10 side.  But also don't Larkin, Seidel and Forrest likely face off?

You're trusting Zeke to actually show up against a top-tier opponent? Look no further than the Schultz-Kerk duck. Seidel/Forrest I plainly said "(and Seidel?)" as in duck because Forrest is house money at worst and please remind me that I'm an idiot on the internet when we wins by major.

As far as B1Gs, I think it's a fair assessment to be honest. It's ridiculously stacked and because of the depth even by big ten standards and B1G results can only be taken at face value compared to two weeks later.

Larkin and Forrest are in the same conference so they can't both be undefeated going into NCAAs.

And I don't think Seidel nor Jax (assuming he's not going to RS) will duck in their dual.

What if Blaze beats Davino in the dual, Davino beats both Byrd and Blaze at b10, Seidel beats Forrest in the dual, Forrest beats Larkin at Big 12 and Seidel has to MF/ID out of ACC and thus we have the entire undefeated 133 juggernaut go bust before seeds for NCAA?  Does fly have a footnote for that?

That parody of parity would create quite the paradox.
