I think the over/under come NCAA tourney time is 5 that's still undefeated.  What about you guys?

I'd bet big money its not 5.  Probably more like 4.5 or 5.5.  😉

Maxwell Peterson took two losses today (Aden Valencia and Shayne Van Ness).  Bryce Hepner lost last night to LJ Araujo.  I am also removing Jaxon Joy and Tyus who lost to Bo Bassett this year in a tournament.  Removing Kaden Cassidy who lost to Spartan Combat's Ethan Ferndandez.  I'm adding Josh Barr who is now 1-0 and will soon be ranked by intermat and flo.

Why is Joy not included but Cannon is? They have the same unofficial loss to a HSer.

Also thanks for keeping track of this

Seems inconsistent to have Seymor on just because his loss was at an all star match.  Either use the NCAA criteria and include those that took losses that "don't count" or exclude all losses.

Explain loss in all star competition vs loss to team mate vs loss to high school vs loss to div 2/3 wrestler. Why does Seymor get a pass and not the others?

The All Star is an exhibition. The others aren't. Like you, I view them all as losses, but that's one difference.

It's not just Seymour - its also Jaxon Smith.  That was not an NCAA sanctioned event - or an event where any NCAA D1 sanctioned teams were competing officially.  That's why.  It was an exhibition.  That's not too different than if someone had lost in a publicly broadcast wrestleoff, but got the starting job through other means, and happened to be undefeated otherwise.  I'm only considering events where NCAA D1 wrestlers were officially competing for their teams.  Even if the opponent was not a D1 wrestler within the context of a D1 level tournament.

Did Nate Desmond lose, maybe I missed it?

He hasn't been formally listed as starter so isn't ranked by the services.  he still has his redshirt available and is expected to utilize it this year

Brophy has wrestled this year, like 15 matches at various opens. Do all of those not count since he wasnt attached to a team?

I was basing it on his WrestleStat profile, but it looks like they separated out his matches while he was unattached.... (which I dont agree with).  I'm going to back him out of the list.  Thank you for raising.

It seems that V Cornella is getting slighted a bit here. He spent the first half of the year wrestling unattached for the SpartanRTC. While there he wrestled 7 times all against D1 wrestlers and went 7 - 0, with 1 pin, three tech falls, and I MD. So while these will not count on his official record, it bears noting that this year he is 14-0 in matches he wrestled.  Not too shabby.
