Looks like Jax will most likely stay in HS next year

I would consider a top 10 big board to be at least an AA lock 1x.

Paddy Gallagher instantly comes to mind. Facundo is TBD. Chittum and Carroll are teetering on the edge.

If folkstyle exclusively then Amos, but I don't count world teamers while in college to be "flame outs" I call them "studs with a different priority on a folk team coached by a Bonohead"

I'm assuming this is in response to my questioning who are "flame-outs." I don't consider a single person you listed a flameout at this point.. but Carroll could potentially be. Gallagher, Chittum, Facundo, and Amos all seem like guys that simply reached a plateau in high school and haven't been able to keep that trajectory going at the next level. Reaching your peak vs flaming out (losing interest, finding destructive behaviors, etc.) are two very different reasons for lack of college success IMO.

Y’all are sleeping on Anthony Knox he’s beaten Bassett and might end up with a better folk career then anyone listed

What is the track record for NJ 3xers?

A couple of others have mentioned it, but I think Jax grows and not a little. He's still all arms, legs, knees, and elbows. FS I see him at 65, 70 , and eventually 74. In college he'll go: 41, 49, 57,

3xers is all over the place and mixed results but Knox is a 4xer and the last two 4xers from NJ both went on to be ncaa champ ( Ashnault and Suriano )

I think in most years he would be the clear 1 guy but his matches with Seidel and dropping one to Ignacio makes me feel like he is not quite as separated and as advanced as his peers mentioned. That being said I think he could AA next year if he went for Cornell.

I don't follow HS closely.  Are all four of these locks to be NCAA champs?

Idk if anyone is a lock nowadays with all the talent but I personally feel confident at least 3 will be ncaa champ and all 4 will be 4x AA

I’m excited to see if Knox makes another jump now that he’ll have elite training partners around everyday , no one in that st .john vianney room was on the same planet as Knox talent wise , now he ll get to roll with ncaa and world champs everyday

Bono has absolutely wrecked Amos; shoulda been a heavyweight years ago

I'm intrigued by Carroll at Wyoming.  I just kinda trust Branch to get his priorities in order (and if doesn't work there than it won't anywhere)

I would have been okay with Pitt as well...

They have a better folk heavyweight in Pitzer. Granted, I would rather have a world teamer but this isn't the international board.

I hope you are right, but I heard Knox gets ragdolled by vito in the room and Jax just beat Vito. Duke also just stuck yianni.  Yianni is a 4x national champ and one of the greatest college wrestlers ever.  He was never pinned in four years of college.  These kids are unreal.

Bo is amazing but he doesn’t belong in the conversation with these other three. Those 3 have beaten very accomplished senior level guys like we have not seen in a very long time. I do think Bo will have an amazing career, I just think like others mentioned, there are other wrestlers close to his level. Blaze, Duke, and Forrest are on a tier of their own.

One thing I find interesting is that we did not get to see Blaze vs Jax during this last world team qualifying process. I’m not sure Jax wins that match if it happens. I do think he is more dynamic while Blaze’s specialty is his defense and reattacks. So to answer the question, I’ll guess Jax, Duke, Blaze in that order for best combined career. But you can’t go wrong with any of those three, they are all just incredible

The more I think about this and read comments the more I think its too early to tell. Before the Open everyone probably would have said Blaze and then some order of Jax and duke and Bo would have definitely been in the conversation. The rate these kids are still improving is insane. Jax had close matches with Seidel and Raney just months before he dominated the open and then went on to beat Vito. Albeit in Folk not Free but I do not think the same guy that wrestled Seidel in the state finals was winning a lot of those matches.

And I think that tracks with him apparently going from constantly training in a HS room to going to Stillwater and training with Fix, RBY, Spratley and being coached by Zo/DT
