Yes, in a pure capitalistic sense...but our sport really exists (in modern times) on the largesse of other sports.  Sports socialism, if you will.

The sport yes, but not the NIL dollars.

Here’s the clip for reference, it is a bit misleading bc it cuts out right before he says he doesn’t think it’s sustainable for PSU or OSU to spend that much money either

Yes -True - but athletes are not limited to just what the school is going to pay out to them, which in the case of wrestling will be nothing in most cases - as we all know.  Compared to what the arbitrator will see in football cases, the wrestling cases will be peanuts, which I hope results in few obstacles for wrestling

That's probably a good point. Also, what stopping these athletes from getting a lawyer and taking each decision from Deloitte to court. That seems to be happening a lot there days.

Guess we will need to wait until it happens to someone from Cornell

It's more difficult now that BB became available after signing AJ.   It also gets complicated in that Nebraska is known to take care of the ones that are already there, so there is little to no NIL money left for immediate use.

Willie and Basch also predicted PSU.

I think they have now reversed and said they think it will NOT be PSU, although they think OSU isn't a good fit.

It seems like even with the new NIL rules, it's going to be easy for people to cheat.  They just need one of Buffet's Berskshire Hathaway guys that loves Nebraska wrestling, or maybe Larry the Cable Guy can help, or is he just a football fan.
