I’ll trust the technology we have over anyone’s.  Especially a country like Qatar

Based on your extensive knowledge of compartmentalized information, I’m sure.

Our advantage in AI alone should tell you enough.

I suppose I should keep my mind open that there might be a HUUUGE Trump library someday, big enough to park the old restored Boeing that saved taxpayers billions. But I still believe he’s just trying to put more pressure on Boeing to deliver the promised AF1 before his term is up. I’ll bet they stalled work on AF1 last fall when he won.

Lol we went from $400 million to multiple billions.

Try to keep up. Nobody has suggested a new AF1 being slow-built by Boeing is going into the future Trump library. That might go in the 2090 Presidential library.

Ok I misread.  I thought you were comparing to the Qatar one and implying that would save us billions. Apologies

There is a giant statue.   It’s called the Statue of Liberty.   If Trump got one today.  Like a new version of it.  Would you be cool with that or should it be sent back ?

You mean the statue that some on here have insisted is a founding document and the "Give me your tired, your poor, your huddled masses yearning to breathe free" quote is basically as sacred as the constitution?

I mean it was a gift wasn’t it?

Trump announced $600B investment from mid east.  Must be the $400B 747 and prob a $200B yacht both will be Trump personal property after his term don't ya think?

Schumer's tactic is good.    Will he release it when he gets the info he is seeking?   That will be the test of character for him.   My inclination is to say he will not release it.

Have to admit, it has to raise some eyebrows when even the Senate Majority leader, and some of Trumps biggest supporters in DC, are like “hold on….what the crap!”

Or….are they just instantly ‘RINOs’ with ‘TDS’, and other cute catchy nicknames?

I think people, on either side, have a right to question the potential gift in order to make sure it is a legal thing that can be done, as well as work out all the details around future use and purpose.

I think it’s a ridiculously bad look but it’s just Trump’s way of getting what he wants. Boeing will have to make new assurances, or the contract will go to Airbus. Just my 2 cents.

I'm guessing it doesn't go to Airbus.   I have no idea what Boeing can do, but I don't think it goes to Airbus.  They would have to buy the shell only and then get it modified here in the US.   I think the modification issue is the problem Boeing is facing right now.

Been gone a few days. It is hilarious to come back to find that the self-styled brilliant forensic accountants during the Biden years are now dumb as a box of rocks and cannot understand how money works.

Keep up the good work.

And then transferring it to his presidential library in 2029.  Just unbelievable levels of grift.  This is on top of all the meme coin bs.

Interesting. The Biden administration started the plane conversations with Qatar?

I don't see how the jet could be renovated in time to go into service as AF-1.  I do see how they could complete paint scheme and interior in time to go into the Trump museum.  Which makes me wonder ... who paid for and where did "AF-1" in Reagan library come from?

December 2024

Boeing was contracted in 2018 to deliver new Air Force One planes for delivery in December 2024. That never happened. Boeing blames supply chain issues (some companies that make parts have gone out of business), changes made to the requirements of the planes and the high cost of doing the work
