Curious why the superstars of the NBA, NFL, etc. get hall passes when they're not home and Snyder does not.

I know we hold Snyder above all others insofar as reproach goes, and that might be why, but it is commonplace for superstars of other major leagues to philander about.

Are said superstars super preachy religious?   They tend not to be imo.

If you count the ones with 2-3 dozen tattoos that cite scriptures, then yes.  Most have many tattoos that have verse on them.

My brother is a pretty successful businessman (it doesn't run in the family) and was invited by one of his corporate partners to go on aa multi-city road trip with an NBA team.  He stayed in the same hotel, flew on the plane, etc.  He was sitting on a flight with an ex-player (current announcer) who has a relative in the league.  He couldn't believe how openly the announcer was talking about how all the players have different girls in each town.  It was very matter of fact.

Fill me in on Snyder's preachy thing...I wasn't aware of this as I tend to just watch matches and occasionally interviews right after. Is he always doing this?

I just wish the headline would have read "Nittany Lion wrestler... instead of former Ohio State"

He hasn't improved one bit and did tOSU dirty by leaving, take the beating under the NLWC banner.

All seriousness, this is bad all around and as a Christian, I was never a fan of his constant Jesus rhetoric when reporters would just ask about basic wrestling.  Looking back now, it almost seems like he was covering for himself in his comments.

Mother's day will never be the same for his wife and I just wish the best for everyone involved.  Gotta really hurt and be hard to sleep.

All that being said, he is an Olympic champion and the amount of work and dedication to do that is something I know not!  I wouldn't be surprised if he takes his moral beating, recovers and turns this into a positive.  If Aaron Brooks is clean, I could see him having some issues with Kyle being at NLWC.

It's a NLWC thing.  They are all very 'preachy' at times and to some it appears very inorganic.

I didn’t ask if they had tattoos.  I asked if they were super preachy religious.

Yes he is consistent in his pursuit of the lord. Even when he is wrapping up photo shoots and the cameras are off he will seek out others to get on their knees while he sees god

For a time being but in the long run everyone loves a comeback story.  Lot's of opportunity to monetize this on the Christian network.

--"I lost my way.  Turned my back on god.  Hurt my family.  In my darkest hours I turned to the lord.  He opened his wisdom to me and got me back on the path.  I'm reformed.  Bond with my wife and children is stronger than ever."

-"Wow how inspiring.  The lord works in mysterious ways."

-"Thank you, thank you.  The lord surely does.  Praise be."

end of story.

He may be a comeback story, but he'll still always be the scumbag that ordered a prostitute online and crushed his family.

Kind of my point.  Doesn't make it acceptable, just wanting to point out that we're holding Snyder to a much loftier standard than the guys making $75 million.

Seriously?  Not even a Mets fan and I knew of their infamous World Series Plane ride when I was a kid.  Stories about Mickey Mantle, Babe Ruth, Wilt Chamberlain.  Not saying it's right but growing up it seemed glorified and part of the perks of being a pro athlete

Being they have tattoos of Bible verses, I say yes.

comeback

Every time I see that word I think of a very specific hilarious parks and rec blooper.

that may have something to do with the alleged fake photo Kyle tried to hire.  At least one of her sisters.

Brucey, what's up with the clown emoji you bestowed on my post?  Kind of hurt my feelings

I mean... it was right from a guy's mouth.  Like not a big deal.  I don't think it is a surprise to anyone, but the way it was treated did surprise my brother.

What about the probability that Kyle knows his weaknesses and, without his faith, could be the person many have called him out to be on here all of a sudden. Everyone has sinned we all sin and give in to temptations. stfu about how often they ASSUME it has been, until it is fact. Except for the family negligence It might have been comparable to many of the Vegas trade show trips I've heard of.

Who gets a hall pass from the NBA or NFL? There are plenty of scumbags in other sports, you just accept a talented scumbag because they help your team, while simultaneously realizing that they are, indeed, a scumbag.

Yep.  Maybe I’ll find and post.  Can’t not watch it every time I come across it.
