Once he found out his opponent would be Wyatt, he knew what we needed and what was best to grow the sport. His upset has gotten unprecedented attention from the national media. Wyatt’s story as a patriotic underdog will be used for decades.

Thanks for your sacrifice Gable!

2/10 troll. I would have given more points if you suggested he threw that match to show the WWE that he wasn't afraid to take a dive. Doing something for the sport the he abandoned for two years doesn't exactly line-up with his priorities.

It’s rumored that AFA took .01% of their dining money and chucked it Gable’s way so the academy celebrate this moment along with OKST and, be extension, could curry favor with our golf course magnate in chief, thus opening the door for future sitdowns to lock in prime tee times for all the top brass at all the best base-adjacent golfing facilities in North America and Europe.

I can already hear Kirk Cameron writing a script...

Heard he intentionally failed at WWE and NFL just so he could come back to real wrestling and lose for the good of the sport.

Clearly he felt guilty. What better way to prove his regret than to give the sport the most attention it’s ever gotten.

All they need was for "I am a real American, fight for the rights of every man. I am a real American, fight for what's right, fight for your life" to blare over the speaker right after the win.  Then hulk Hogan walks down with an American flag and a chair.  He hits Gable over the back and then rips off his shirt and raises Wyatt's hand.  Then trump comes onto the mat and rips off his shirt.  They get on both sides of Wyatt and raise his hand. The crowd goes nuts chanting "USA, USA, USA".   While this is going on, Gable comes to and picks up the chair.  He walks up behind Trump and hits him in the back with the chair.  He runs off while hulk and Wyatt tend to trump.  We've got our next year long story line heading into wrestle mania which will be Gable managed by Paul Heyman possessed by the Iron Shiek and Chad Gable managed by Kurt angle to decide who the real Gable is. Which is obviously Dan Gable.
