These guys are not 17 year-old college kids. These are kids who have been held back, taken RS yrs. - they're adding lbs. in their 20s. I wish I had your level of naivete.

I don’t think Kasak is in his 20s. Levi maybe turned 20 recently. Both of them started as freshman and weren’t high school holdbacks. I could be wrong though

Haines was a lot smaller than Hamiti, and about the same size as KOT. He struggled to make 157 last year. I’ll bet he didn’t have to cut much to make 174. And I don’t see any acne on Haines.

This is a dumb comparison. Hamiti is tall and lean. KOT is taller than Haines and way less muscular. Haines is a couple inches shorter but jacked.

It's not a fair accusation. I was trying to say that there are no good accusations. I listed off all the recent guys and how they aren't suspicious. Reading your response to my comment made me see that I did not word it about Kasak very well. Oh well, maybe chill out because I also said, "I just do not get it. And we have Warner and Marinelli being whiney bitches online about it."

Not sure why you're piecing up my comment and misrepresenting what I said.

Gun to my head, who from Penn State has done steroids? I would go with Taylor with low confidence. I think failure is a good motivator to do steroids. I'm not a journalist or on television. Get over it. David Taylor is my all time favorite wrestler.

I know the thrust of your comment was against baseless accusations, but you also seemed to be saying the accusations against Kasak and Taylor cleared the bar, despite the thinnest of evidence.  If that's not what you meant, then I'm glad.  I don't think I misrepresented what you said, though, considering I quoted you directly -- and you sort of did it again just now with Taylor.  I don't mean to get on my high horse as I'm all for smack-talk, but to me, PED accusations are sort of like calling someone a racist. "Low confidence" or not, journalist or not, they pack an unusual sting and have a way of following athletes around.

Interesting that Marinelli claims that he never lost to anyone; he only beat himself.

I can recall quite a few matches where the other wrestler thoroughly beat Marinelli.

Expand

I don't remember how many times Marinelli was "thoroughly beaten." Some his freshman year?  Maybe Cenzo later?  But they still went back and forth and Marinelly ended up winning the last one.  Always great matches between the two.

Yeah, no.  People on PEDs remove opportunities from those who wish to achieve through natural means.  This pushes PED use to lower and lower levels and age groups.  Middle school wrestler who wants to get a scholarship in college?  Gotta take PEDs in high school (if not earlier).

For every Lance Armstrong or Tyler Hamilton or Barry Bonds, there is someone who lost out because they refused to cheat.  Making doping "not cheating" just pushes the health risks onto more and more (young) people.

Expand

The issue is the health risks.  Even 'pro-doping' influencers (Dr. Mike Israetel; "More plates more dates") talk openly about the associated risks.

Asking a kid to risk his future health to win wrestling matches is not a choice we want kids to have to make.

Wick beat him 10-4 and 16-3

David McFadden pinned him

Valencia pinned him

IMAR beat him 5-2 and 14-5

Massa beat him 6-3

He had 9 other losses that were closer too.

All the while they play commercials telling people who lost bets to not attack athletes. Maybe they should just tell fans to chill out. Its a sport. A game. Life will go on.

the fact you put HIPPA and not HIPAA, tells me you don't have any clue what you're talking about.

The one who protests too much, methinks...

I don't think Nolf is helping as much as he is probably trying.    There is no way he or anyone can say with certainly that no one at any school is not taking a PED.  I still don't think there is much substance to this baseless allegation but Nolf's comment is starting to make me more suspicious.   If someone made a baseless claim about AJ, would he still be out here saying no one at all is doing it????

The theory of NIL only makes it more likely people are taking peds.    Similar to college football / bball players trying to get to the nfl / nba etc.   that or rtc $$$$ promises.

Shapiro was talking about how small he got after the coma, down to 153, suggesting he was small for his weight. He then said he's tried to get big and put weight on to be a bigger 157. Then says IDK some kids take steroids as a generalization, no names or accusations ,more of a possibility/probability.

Exactly, instead he gave his opponents none of the credit.

He literally said "I lost because I beat myself, plain and simple."

this is such standard athlete-speak that it's not even worth quoting, much less getting upset about. it's white noise. empty calories. give that interview some steroids is what i'm sayinig
