It's been that way for a LONG time, speaking as someone who grew up in the Chicago suburbs. Iowa is the school for Chicagoland kids who didn't get into Illinois, and Marquette is for Chicagoland kids who didn't get into Notre Dame.

That is correct.......Papa Stewart was upset that Tech supporters were not happy with a .500 record from a returning AA.  He basically took his ball and went home.  However, he has reappeared recently.  I wish the kid nothing but the best moving forward, but time to get out of Blacksburg.

Supposedly rumors are the admissions office are aware of personal or background issues, again just what i've heard. So I don't know if he has any prior felonies and been arrested in the past but that seems to be the hold up.

Actually, yes - they did.  It wasn't anything aside for the minimum.  Scholarship and room & board basically.  Which is pretty much covered under the new NIL crap anyways.

Just went and checked it out. User interface aside there is some great content. TJ to NC State rumors have ignited a few fans, and Big Stew is back in a big way. There has been violence threatened from both sides.

I think VT would take this trade at this point.  TJ has all the potential in the world but has not realized it yet.  He had a lot of struggles this year off the mat and those may continue.  I don't know much about Fishback other than what I have seen, but he is certainly more consistent than TJ and also has an high upside...

Pop and Robie don't exactly love each other, it's a pretty heated rivalry every year and VT fans are fed up with TJ,mostly bc of his dad. We usually pick a few wrestlers in NC State's lineup to arbitrarily hate even though we'd like them if they were on our side, Hidlay's, Orine, Ed Scott as of late. Vince Robinson was looking like the top candidate after shoving Eddie V after the dual meet loss but TJ in a Pack singlet would be an all time heel.
