$300k+ for a guy with a DUI(s?) that hasn’t made the podium in 2 tries is wild

No one said Bob is sane.

Rents may be going up.

I made a joke about this...saying PSU was getting Welsh and then I said and probably a HWT.

Someone replied and said who and I said...'the best HWT not graduating this year.' I was kidding...though I considered Bastida may or someone to Wrestle Mirasola off. But if Feldman does it, THIS is the criteria I will grade Penn State next year.

Penn State vs the Field
Lillednahl points score vs -highest non-Penn State Point Scorer
Ono vs Crookham
Blaze vs

That's it. Only way to do it. It's insane. These guys JUST saw what DT can do for a guy. Go there if you must leave? Though, Okie State does have Carroll coming in at HWT, don't they?

I asked who.  I also brought up that before the Welsh news, Willie said there was a rumor about Feldman talking to PSU but that it wasn’t true, and someone else said Feldman’s dad posted something laughing about it.

But PSU beats the field IMO even with zero transfers other than Ono.

Would be a good get, Mirasolas are way overrated at this point. They are maybe low AA contenders at best.

I love these type of stupid posts.

They're RS Freshmen, we haven't seen them since the Southern Scuffle(they both won it) and then the 3 losses were to Barr, their own teammate, Luffman, a 4-0 loss to a VERY good HWT and Feldman himself.

These kids were elite in HS and they've spent a year in the PSU rooms. They weren't touted as the next PJ Duke's, but putting on a cap on what they are AT BEST at this point seems moronic.

I can't count the number of guys who ended up placing far higher than their "at best," and just as many who placed lower than their "at least."
Lets maybe...let the red shirts come off the kids before talking about how "overrated" they are at this point.

This is what D1 college wrestling has devolved into, openly buying teams. I hope Iowa scores as many points at NCAAs off these guys as they got off Parco/Teemer this year.

AJ is going to Rutgers now? I thought everybody said it was a done deal he'd join his brother at Iowa?

Lots of talk about AJ joining the Hawkeyes.  Also talk about Iowa State.  But unless Iowa changes their AD, it seems unlikely.  I could be way off base with Rutgers - its just a prediction

Yeah...."low AA" as freshman anywhere else would be huge, but at PSU it's not good enough and your a failure and need to be replaced.

Perfect example of how a mid-tier team can work hard to build a team, develop kids, then not have money to keep them. Also a perfect example of how teams can buy wrestlers who are already AA and get to benefit from a mid-tier program. Good for kids making money for those of you who are going to jump in with the poor college kid story.

Respect to the top teams, despite their reliance on the portal. As a wrestling fan I'm less concerned about the details behind the scenes than I am the product on the mat.  I'm unhappy with the poaching going on, but the kids get a chance to pocket some money and get to a higher tier program they wanted. That stated I can't help but think the NIL "system" is very bad for college wrestling. How good would a coach have to be to crack onto the podium at a midmajor school without NIL money backing him up? Schwab comes to mind immediately, but can he build up talent wtihout losing it to a bigger school? Probably not if the money is right, sadly.

Seems to be implied that it was Missouri that may have offered 300 a pop for Bailey and Williams before getting out bid by Iowa.  If that is actually true, I wasn't aware Missouri had such deep NIL pockets

From what I’m hearing, it’s true. Too bad we couldn’t close the deal.

Yeah, I know, I wasn't calling you out or saying 'told ya so,' I made the statement because I just thought it was the last...ridiculous thing that COULD happen(I guess Ross could flip to PSU also) this year and I didn't believe it. Again, I just said it facetiously.

I didn't even say Feldman.  I would have but ONLY because...Keuter is playing Football again and I don't now if he's going to play Wrestle(but I know he's going back). And then...I suppose I may have thrown out Jimmy Mullen. He seems like a guy who could make a big jump, but again, to be clear, I was making a joke as it's their only weight they're not going to be a favorite or...damn near a favorite to win a NC.

I don't even know it's true, just reading this thread.
