Jordan Decatur petitioning for another year and into the portal.

He and his brother were two of the bigger flame outs I can remember. Keshawn hayes is also up there.

He made the round of 12 in 2018. Not sure if I'd call that 'flaming out'.

I think he was a top 10 recruit for that entire class and only qualified once which was when he was round of 12 I know he had a lot of injury issues though.

A lot of folks thought Earl Hall was likely to win a title when he was recruited. He had a solid college career, but what happened his senior year? I kind of lost track of him and don't remember if he got injured or what

Qualified in 2019 as well. Had multiple career wins over AA's: Hunter Willits (who eventually beat David Carr), Christian Pagdilao, Matt Kolodzik (2x), Max Thomsen, and Ronnie Perry (finalist). Yea I'd say considering the injuries Ke-Shawn had a hell of a career.

Yeah by no means did I ever think of Hayes as an after thought.  He was always a tough out when healthy.

The entire Iowa State team flamed out Earl's senior year

His brother (Jacob Decatur) was a 3x Top 4 and 1x D3 Champ.

Jordan was the 'get' in recruiting. Jacob was forever going to be an undersized D1 125lber.

Maybe he’ll commit on his show and become the first person to commit somewhere other than Penn State

Appears that Ethan Miller is headed to Virginia Tech.

Curious how the weights work themself out on that one.

interesting.  i' guess hipo to 165 and miller at 149.  unless Henson wanted to go 157 and Miller could go back to 149.

Hipo just went 157lbs and made a 141lber go 165lbs.  I don't think he moves over for a newbie (to the team).

Ethen Miller, Hipolito and Church have all taken redshirts as well.  Hopefully Henson isn't taking a redshirt.

Honestly?

If Henson has aspirations in MFS, he needs to think of going 157lbs, to prepare for 74 KG (~163lbs).  I don't see him making 65 KG unless he takes a year off to shrink his body - much like Retherford did after he graduated.

I would be okay seeing Henson or Miller anywhere from 149-165 and Hipo at 157/165lbs.  This puts Church out - unless he heads up to 174lbs, which would put Wright out - unless he heads to 184lbs.

Imagine Church doing 141 - 165 - 184 😂

I don't actually see Henson going 165lbs, though.  Not with Monster Mitch there.

Edit: Until the season started, Ethan was slotted in at 149lbs and his brother was slotted at 157lbs (up from 141lbs).  The most logical option might be Miller - Henson - Hipo in that order.

To this point Henson has been pretty adamant about being a career 149 and then going 65kg following.

I know.  He's big, though.  I have trouble seeing him succeed at 65 KG currently because of it.

Last I heard about Caleb's freestyle career was 70 KG was next if/when fully healthy so 157 would make sense. I think Hipo can go 165 he's strong as an ox. Church isn't getting any bigger, if anything he'll wait his turn back down at 157. Weird pick up though still need a 184. At least we're doing something maybe?

Still hope we're tampering with a one year rental at 184 but this works if Burton's eating his wheaties. Gaj is also a RS he's going 70KG at the U20 Open

They also have Gaj and Torres coming in at 157/165, that weight area is going to be a battle for the next 3-5 years
