That is where I disagree.  Majoring Plott just means he is the contender at the 2nd level of 184 (3rd place). It does not mean anything with regards to his ability to beat the other 2.

Correct. Starocci and Keckeisen are in a different tier, beating Plott soundly does not move Ferrari into that tier, nor should it.

This is what I was saying to @okokzach. Not a hard concept really.

I think you all are failing to realise how hard it is to major Plott. Plott is in his fifth full season thanks to covid. Only one man has ever been able to get a major decision against him.

No one is arguing that. Obviously it's hard to major a national finalist. But that still wouldn't put Ferrari in tier 1, to no fault of his own. Keck and Starr have just proven to have separated themselves from the rest (until proven otherwise).

I think Arnold knows where he stands, he and Angelo are in the same room.

They are dead even. They have been wrestling the same wrestle-off match since the practice room opened and it is currently in the 1,459th overtime period. The score is 0-0 because no one has taken a shot yet.

Double-double stalling. Gable popped into practice and nearly had an aneurysm he was so disgusted with the lack of action.

Ferrari already wrestled Starocci. He took him to the wire and lost by a questionable stall call. Starocci's not on a higher tier.

The only question is how you can find it questionable.

Lots of people did, but you missed the point.

I got the point. It is just wrong. Starocci absolutely is on a higher level. I know that because Ferrari showed it by refusing to wrestle Starroci straight up.

Star's just not the dominant wrestler we want him to be this season. A 6th year senior going for his 5th title shouldn't be squeaking out matches over a true frosh. I'm nervous for his post-season.

When is the last time a healthy Starocci gave up a TD? You can stop worrying.

Its pretty obvious its gonna be arnold now right? Last chance to beef up the NCAA seed beyond big ten competition, at least throw a wrench in things possibly.

Going with that criteria, I believe it was 2/3/2023 against Ethan Smith of Ohio State.

Starocci is very dominant.  You worry too much.

The only way he isn't dominant is in the "imagine what a five time champ would like sense". He's gonna have the flashiest cred in the history of NCAA wrestling, but is only gonna get brief polite mentions in GOAT discussions.

Sorry to burst the Starocci bubble guys, but there's no world in which a 1 pt. win and zero takedowns is dominant.

Only 94% bonus this season. What a scrub.

He just DQ’d Edmond Ruth on stall calls who was 4th last year, and all but one of has matches have been bonus points. I’d say that’s pretty dominant.

Ruth was 7th at 174 last year. He should have stayed down there apparently because he’s 10-6 on the year

Wow didn’t realize Angelo was the only match he didn’t get bonus.

100% agree re Ferrari and the tiers but there is a basis for worry in that probably the third or fourth best PFP guy is in his weight class, and there will be a ton of pressure on the favorite going for 5.  If not for Keck it would be worry free.
