The amount of gross comments about a high school kid behaving like a lot of his peers is gross behavior.  A large segment of the wrestling fandom, and the Penn State fandom specifically (not you, @PortaJohn, you've reacted like a normal human) has really said some gross stuff about, again, this high schooler.

It lends credence to the idea that some PSU fans see this as a threat.  It's not, as of now, a threat to Penn State's dominance.  He's still just one guy (or even three guys if you consider all the brothers locks).  A lot more is needed to catch Penn State, and it's not like they're bringing in nobodies.  Show some class.

Appreciate the shoutout Vak.  Few things on this.  A) I'm happy for any wrestler who gets the best financial bag for himself and his family.  The amount of time, energy, and money these kids have to go through to get into a D1 program is brutal. B) I don't understand the hate coming from a portion of my PSU fanbase.  For awhile the narrative was we weren't getting him.  Not that it wouldn't have been a nice get but he didn't fit into the current game plan. C) I thought it was Oklahoma State.  There were a lot of signs.  If the Cowboy fans feel burnt I totally get that.  D) I know PSU wanted Jax from this class and it seemed Oklahoma State and DT were the team to beat.  If Iowa pulls off getting Jax too that would be the bigger story

I am happy Iowa is returning to its PA roots.  Its best days in recent memory are when they trotted out a majority PA lineup with guys like Spencer, Desanto, Murin, Kemerererer and Young.

I just want to point out you were able to use "gross" twice in one sentence, and three times over the course of two consecutive sentences.  I am oddly impressed.

I wouldn't brag too much. Sometimes the PA boys don't pan out in D1 either.

Good get for Iowa and great pick for Bo. Awesome for Iowa fans. My idiotic take is that Brands will be under a ton of pressure, given the sky high expectations people now have. Bo's going to Iowa to be the first 4x champ in program history, among other reasons. If Brands doesn't deliver a four-timer, it'll be a *I poop my pants, don't laugh at me*storm of epic proportions, including (especially) hellfire from the Hawkeye faithful, because it'll be another in a long line of letdowns, and the biggest since Spencer Lee. I mean, it'll be on BB too because he's set the bar really high and is his own hype machine... but Brands needs to bring down the temperature with all the hype about Bassett being the chosen one. He's just setting himself up for failure.

Yeah, not a bad pick at all. It's too early to say he'll be a 4 timer, but who knows?

Ok yeah if Iowa gets them then yes that would probably top OSU.

But I wouldn’t say “whoever” gets them wins the class.
