So let me get this straight...you have one paragraph that says parents get to much blame and that a lot of times kids just have mental health issues...etc...then you have a sentence after that saying it was because of her upbringing....here's a little hint you pathetic poster...upbringing is done by her parents!!!

By the way, do you know in fact her parents are right wing??  Do you know anything about any of the people involved??  NO you don't, so shut your dumb mouth and quit turning a terrible tragedy into some ignorant partisan crap.

The Lefty saw the word Christian.  Is what my guess is boss.

Just passing along early reports on X since people were asking. I don’t recall any personal statements by me.

Ah. You just happened to stumble on just THAT one, eh?

So, you weren’t trying to paint a certain picture?

Maybe they should revise the warning labels on the drugs DOCTORS are prescribing for these teens when they are transitioning to another gender. Maybe in addition to the 50 other warnings they should include that taking these drugs may cause you to COMMIT MASS MURDER at Christian schools then commit suicide.

It’s wild how many people are so eager to demonize an incredibly small portion of the population based on rumors from known assholes on the internet.

And then, when even the assholes delete their tweets, aren’t embarrassed at all.

Maybe she's just screwed up. I think parents and other people get too much blame. A lot of times, kids just have mental health issues. Especially teens.

But yah, her Christian and right wing upbringing probably didn't help.

buddy, you can go eff yourself.

you started this thread with race bait and then you pigeon hole others.

classic holier than thou faux intellect of the 'tolerant left'

i'm like 'this close' to banning you for hate speech

They will learn nothing from this.

My mom was divorced 3x and my dad once. My brothers and I were all fine.

This is simply Republican winger BS theories that aren't supported. Sure, the average kid from broken family has, on average, more issues than the kid that isn't but first of all it isn't necessarily a strong cause-effect relationship and secondly there are many many other factors that can lead to problems for a kids.

Simply ignorance. That's what this is.

30+ years ago, I  worked at a residential home for teenagers who were removed from their homes, either due to abuse or their parents'/schools' inability to control them.  I worked there almost one year and was the assistant director.  When we received our 100th client during my time at the home, I did some statistical research.  Maybe it was an anomaly; but out of 100 clients, 99 were from "broken families."

I'm glad that you and your siblings turned out ok.

I heard today that the teacher killed was a substitute.   Assuming she was aiming for that teacher, that teacher was on leave and the sub was taken out instead.   Mistaken identity or completely a random hit?

The people on here who rushed to blame the shooting on trans people and now won't own their gross mistake.

Issue with early reporting on these type of tragedies.  I posted what was being reported at the time of the body count which ended up being wrong.  Those reports were coming from major media networks.  Media networks also misreported on a 2nd grader making the 911 call which was later corrected.  It was the 2nd grade teacher.  Then you throw in social media and who knows what info you are going to find.

Even the police chief got it wrong. He originally stated three plus the shooter, then changed it to five plus the shooter, before revising to two plus the shooter.

Fog of war.

This is why I refrain from the hot take, rush to be first, mentality in these situations. But I also hesitate to call BS when someone posts their Twitter and TikTok feeds like they are gospel, because ... maybe ... but probably not. In this case, definitely not.

I went and looked back and couldn't find anyone on here who blamed a trans person.  As with what Porta said the reporting on this was all over the place in the beginning and people were just repeating what the reports were.  I'd say you are rushing/forcing to blame people on here and accuse them of things they aren't doing....why...who the heck knows other than you, and a couple others on here have to make someone or something the victim.  Why do you do that??

Part and parcel of the scoop at a news organization (not a social media platform that only wants to be thought of as news when it suits it's purpose and not when it does not) is accuracy. I think I would be fine.

That is because the tweet they posted on page 1 of the thread was deleted, so it no longer links here, but you can still find the blank post and at least one response to the post and one emoji to the response.

You might want to get your eyes checked. And then apologize for your gaslighting, while you’re at it.

He was reporting what he read on X...he then deleted it because it was incorrect...how is that not the responsible thing to do when reporting incorrect information??  Pretty sure my eyes don't need checking...and confused by your "gaslighting" comment?

Are you someone who tries to find the boogeyman in everything too?  Can you get through your day without accusing someone as being anti-trans, racists, bigoted, etc.??  Man...some of you water down those powerful words which have real life meanings and make them insignificant....please stop!!

He didn't delete it. The guy who posted on Twitter deleted the tweet so it no longer links here.

It is not responsible because the original tweet source is not reliable. It is ok to exercise discretion rather than just re-tweet, re-post something as quick as possible, especially when it meets a couple of criteria:

1. it is awfully specific in the knowledge it claims (knowledge of the shooter, knowledge of the shooters psychological state, knowledge of the shooters medical treatments),

2. it came out waaaaay too fast to have any of that knowledge with any degree of certainty.

This is a great example of the "fog"  I remember seeing that post.  Being curious I clicked the link.  The profile ended up matching the shooter.   But, the accusation of the shooter being trans came from thin air.  Totally manufactured.

One would think accuracy would be the thing they would want to make sure of.   examples of the MSM looking for accuracy:

We have mostly peaceful protests amid prolific arson and looting

We have insurrection when there have been no such charges applied

We have Steele dossier that was known to be a democrat plant and false

We have Kavanaugh is a serial sexual pervert

We have Trump was found liable for rape.   ABC is paying 15 million for that one.

A news media looking for accuracy would not state these things and most every MSM outlet did state these things.

I regret posting something I thought was accurate at the time. I ask everyone to do the same when linking anything about Trump or his cabinet nominees in return.
