This could be the new NIL scam. Guy doesn't actually want to make the big sacrifices any longer, but since they throw so much money at him he decides, "WTF, might as well take it". Then he limps off the mat to count the bag money only to never really step back on.

Not saying that i s what happened here in this case or any other case, but portal slum lords caveat emptor.

Dresser appears to be poking at Iowa for all the transfers:

Iowa certainly had a ton of transfers in the lineup: Parco,Teemer, and Buchanan from this year; Caliendo from last years squad.  It isn't like Iowa State doesn't play the game too: Echemendia, Bockman (his 3rd school), Riggins, and Carroll are all transfers for ISU that wrestled this year.  Then you have Chittum and the Cuban connection... all of whom enrolled in ISU after "non-traditional recruiting."  Sound like sour grapes + hypocrisy from Dresser because he can't work the transfer portal as well as the Brands brothers. (or is ir sour oranges?)
