...what are you talking about?  Voting levels change all the time.  Just get over it, there was no large scale fraud in 2020, he just got his ass kicked by the vanilla yogurt of politicians.  There was no large scale fraud this time, and he won, by a lot.  That's it.  It's not a grand conspiracy, he just lost an election before based on exactly the reasons @uncle bernard laid out above, and won, likely by UB's analysis on this election.  I say likely because it'll take months to get a fuller picture of why it happened, but I suspect he's right again.  A majority of the population feels the economy is bad and it's Biden's fault, and that's that.  The idea that they cheated so heavily just for one election and then stopped is asinine.  Trump has fewer votes than he had in 2020, they wouldn't have even had to "cheat" as much as they allegedly did in 2020.

@wrestlingguy

To add on to this, Harris' loss is right in line with what we've seen all over the world this year, with few exceptions. Parties in power during inflation, conservative or liberal, lost major ground in their next election.

Of all the insane stuff that happened in this election, likely none of it had anywhere near the impact as the Fed's handling of inflation.

When there are rational, historically backed explanations for why things happen, there is no need to go hunting for conspiracy theories.

I just have a hard time wrapping my head around the fact that Biden got more popular votes than any candidate, dating back to 1988, by far. The graph I saw only went back to 1988. You would think Biden was the best candidate ever and even Vak says he was vanilla. 15 million democrats didn't care enough to vote this year? What happened to record voter turnout as reported by the media?

When they voted in 2020, Trump was actively president, thousands of people were dying a day due to COVID, the economy was in shambles, and Trump was seen as a hurtful figure.  Time passes, memories dull, people remember that time more fondly than they did in the moment, and they feel the economy is bad right now, no matter how many charts Dems showed them.  It's a totally different environment.

Not trying to be a smart ass, but could it be you can't wrap your head around it, at least part of it be, that you are only focused on Biden got more than anyone, and not giving enough weight that more people voted in that election, by far, than any other election?

I get it. I guess more people were tuned in because they were locked up in their homes and blamed the current administration. That's just a lot of people. I thought there was truly going to be record turn out this year because I have never seen so many people fired up. If democracy was truly at stake like they said how do you just sit on your ass and not do anything?

The media was obviously wrong about record vote turnout or else we're missing millions of votes (which would point to the Republicans stealing the election, which I don't think happened).

As for 2020, think about how insane that situation was. Trump was a historically unpopular and polarizing president and then a massive pandemic broke out and tanked the world economy and killed hundreds of thousands of people. So yeah, people were pissed at him and motivated to vote against him.

People were way more fired up in 2020 on the Dem side. There was widespread apathy amongst democrats, who were rightly dissatisfied with the Biden administration. Harris had an initial excitement bump, but then she kept on all of Biden's people and they told her and Walz to tone it down and the whole thing fizzled.

Speaking of vote volumes, using numbers reported to date.

2020   2024   Difference
Biden 81,283,501 Harris 67,203,507 14,079,994
Trump 74,223,975 Trump 72,015,286 2,208,689
  155,507,476   139,218,793 16,288,683

This tells only part of the story, but it tells me that the core Trump support, even while down slightly, was loyal to him (duh, look at the flags people fly) enough to overcome the absolute mess of a process the Democrats decided to use. Harris has never been popular nationally and the lack of turnout illustrates some of that.

There are other lessons to be learned about messaging during a campaign, but in my lifetime the Republicans have been far superior in their approach to talking about issues. They keep it simple and they stay together.

I agree with you I’m very surprised the turnout dropped off as much as it did.

I agree in the aspect the Dems better take a deep look at themselves and that they lost this election mostly because of Biden and their fumbling of the Biden/Harris situation.  Put anyone else in there from the D's side and I am not sure we are talking about DT winning today.

I said when Biden dropped I thought Newsome was the best candidate, and he has exactly what they were missing with Harris.  Whether or not you like him aside, he is good at talking data and policy.  He is more a centrist than her and....well there would have been no shot at any 'what race is he this week' messaging.

As much as I don't like him he would have been a lot better than Harris. I read somewhere that they had to go with Harris because otherwise they had to return the funding from Biden's campaign.

Except that was precisely Trump's message this campaign.

When will they stop meddling with the people they run.   They farked up with Hillary.   They did the same with the cackling head of Kamala.  You run a decent candidate you have a much better chance against Trump.   They can’t get out of their own way.

the dims have nobody who is a decent candidate. gavin slimey newsome? big mike obama? they have nothing at all.

If you think "we will not have a country anymore" means the end of our democracy, then yes. That would be a yes.

Ok.  You can think that.  As crazy as it sounds.

Wasn't a quote from me. That was what Trump said. I agree, it does sound crazy.

But he will soon be our President again - so there's no useful purpose in calling him out on it now.

It's time to gather together and put the crazy behind us.

With what is going on with Russia, Ukraine, North Korea, Iran and the Middle East, the world is as ugly a place as I can remember it ever being.

Some of these mentioned countries quietly use social media to try to split us up. I, for one, would like to see them fail.

The best we can do is to stick together. We're much stronger that way.

1. Not all the votes have been counted and there are millions left.

If the current data was final, it definitely signals 2020 ballot harvesting captured on video and testified was more frequent than admitted.

2. The 2020 election was admittedly rigged in ways the blue team is actively complaining they could not do in 2024(information control) - If you are on X, you are more likely to understand.

3. The alleged rigging in Georgia 2020 has still not gone through court after 4 years of shenanigans

4. There is no full explanation for the hundreds of citizens testifying of fraud under oath, in cases dismissed for reasons unrelated to merit

We will never get the answer.

Imagine if the stoic normies had clear publicly admittance to this… they might act.

Imagine if you weren't actively trying to keep the rest of us from trying to stick together.

Go ahead, post some more stuff about why Americans shouldn't trust each other and shouldn't stick together.

What was your first language again, Chinese? I remember that post. The same one where you said you didn't like Trump.

Have you ever ingested bad tasting medicine because it’s good for you?  That’s the trump trade off.
