Another thing that makes you go hmmm is taking Minno2's word for it.

But Sanderson is always forthright with the media...sorry had to wipe some tears while typing.

I agree, although I think it’s notable that in regards to Davis/Nagao he said it as a statement, and not “I’m hearing” like he did with Facundo/Kasak.

I can actually think of a few things that would legitimately qualify for that.  For example - a slight labral tear in the shoulder - does not automatically require a surgery.  But depending on where the tear is, and how strong the muscles are around it, the person will feel a different impact.  You see it all the time in professional sports where they wait until the offseason to get an operation.  Certain things can be enough of a gray area, you could probably wrestle-off and get surgery if you lose.

Yeah I know last year Pitzer from Pitt would have gotten surgery and taken a MRS but it was too late in the season to qualify to he wrestled and delayed the surgery till after Nationals.

I'd like to see Davis go this season. Another 125 moves up...

Minnow posted about Lilledahl beating McHenry, Davis beating Nagao, Facundo beating Kasak and Cochran beating Barr, but then pretty sure deleted it and implied he got scolded by someone from PSU

KT and Oz did not wrestle, I believe Meza goes against Navy. Swidersky beat Redding and Euton beat Gaitan

Pretty sure people debunked both davis vs nagao and facundo kasak as not happening. However I have no idea had someone aside from minnow reported I would not question it but he's a moron so I have doubts. I don't know why Nagao would be wrestling off if he is med shirting. He also reported that Facundo beat Kasak 8-3 which seems like a crazy margin to me, but he could have gotten a big move.

Any word on paniro or Yonger being back for Iowa?

I believe he did mention Nagao may have been limited, and that he could still be injured enough to get a medical.  But honestly that would likely be why he got scolded if they don’t want people to know Nagao was wrestling a live match.

Tough pull for Gaitan down to 165 or has Euton just gotten that much better? That is a surprising result to me. Gaitan was R12 at 174 last year.

Should we read that as Oz is redshirting for sure?

I heard it is a tough cut for him, but Euton is a solid guy.

I am betting that will be the case. I think Terukina locks 125 down next month

I'd like to hear what the plan is for Sinclair. I know the kid wrestled 92KG and he was competitive with Aiello and nearly in the finals, but that match epitomized why...in my opinion from afar, he's not suited to Wrestle '97 and he's so perfect for '84. The length and size was just a huge difference.

I understand cutting sucks and it's almost always better to go up, add good weight, but some frames are just...better at certain weights.

If he takes a RS, goes '84, I think he's the next guy who could be a 4X NC(Lillendahl could I suppose). And honestly...maybe not even lose a match those 4 years. He's so damn slick, but '97 is a tall order.

One year of D1 strength and conditioning and I think he's got a shot to be...the 2nd best '84 pounder ever. He's not going to one up Brooks coach...but I think he could POSSIBLY end up a better Wrestler than Brooks.

I know how wild that sounds now. I'll check back in a year. Definitely the best prep Wrestler from Wisconsin I've seen. I got to see Swick as a little kid and he was pretty damn impressive...beat Cael as a Sr in HS, but in the last ~15-20 years, he's that dude...IMO.

wtf are you talking about?

Braedan Davis wrestled 125 last season. I believe it was reported he's wrestling 133 this season.

WTF don't you understand?

Lilledahl took a forfeit against Drexel, I guess that is confirmation there is no thought of redshirting him

If Richie Figs is seriously hurt, LL is going to be in the conversation, and soon.

I imagine we'll see if they plan to RS Kasak and some others very soon, too. PJ Duke exists and there's going to be an AA vs AA problem in the lineup sooner or later.

I don't think he's important enough to PSU to be scolded.
