This Yaz vs Kurugliev match is heating up. Kuruglieve got a 4-point arm spin up 4-2 over Yaz, tho in general Yaz is controlling the match.

Now tied 4-4.

The Greek w/ a spicy 4 pt throw on Yazdani... woo-hoo!

Never argue with an idiot. They will only bring you down to their level and beat you with experience.

Yazdani wrestled his way into the lead again just before the break...

I should've known... the Greek, by way of Russia ( of course...)

Where did Kurugliev transfer from?

Some where out-of-as-a-stan is my guess...

You were correct.

Kurugliev is probably one of the strongest 86 KG we have had this side of the year 2000 and he has the grip strength to follow and the defense to keep matches close.

So we're done here until noon-time...

(Get to see some other Olympic stuff in the meantime.)

Did anyone else see Japan defend the undertook really well?  Brooks tried a few times and adapted his approach.

Brooks has Ramazanov next. Dont know much about him. No world medals and looks like he last wrestled at 79kg in like 2020. He’s obviously super tough, though, because he’s in the Olympic semis.

I see the conspiracy theories are all over the place.  He's 100% Greek.  Comes from the Dagiastanos Region.  His last name is Kuruglievopolis.  They just couldn't fit it on to the screen.  He's John Diakomihalis God Father

Brooks hasn't been digging out his underhook, I wonder if he's saving it for scouting purposes.

He’s saving it for the greatest of all underhooks showdown 🙂

It'll be a great day for underhook enthusiasts if that match goes down later. I, for one, am looking forward to such a masterclass.
