if both teams were at full strength, what happens that's different:

probably Surtin over Ventresca by decision at 125 in a 7 point swing.  157 with Andonian instead of Ulrey is at least 4 points instead of 3 for the Hokies, and I think we could have seen a pin.

All that to say - I don't think either team was at more of a relative disadvantage going into it

Eh.  Andonian has been hurt all year.  The Mizzou guys have been wrestling.  It's a little different. As most of you are aware, I am not a Mizzou fan, lol.

BA wrestled Lewan. He was hurt then too and got injured in the wrestle off

I'm a Mizzou fan, but give credit where credit is due.  Virginia Tech has been a tough dual for the Tigers and have won the last 3 outings.  All have been nail biters.  Your only as tough as the company you keep and I'd rather take a close lost that prepares you for post season, than easy W's that measure nothing and are not as intriguing to follow.  Building a deep roster, developing talent, and staying healthy are all part of the equation of W's and L's.  I'm most proud of the fact that 5 of the 10 wrestlers in the lineup were products of Missouri high schools and chose the "Tiger Style" culture.  Brian Smith is as concerned about building "good men" as he is building "good wrestlers!"  If he continues to keep most the best "Show Me" wrestlers at home, we will be ok.

I'm an Ohio State fan, but these are two of my favorite non-related programs, and I could watch them all day. Agreed with @formally140 that Henson is very impressive.

Andonian probably wins versus Jacques but I doubt him bonuses him.  Wouldn’t be shock to see Jacques win.  Most of Jacques matches are low scoring affairs.

I was bummed BA didn’t wrestle. I wanted to see him live against a stud like Jacques. I was glad to be able to see Keegan live. He’s very impressive

I'm a Bryce Andonian fan also.  The kid is "electric" with his unorthodox style.  Jacques is the total opposite with a controlled conservative style and low scoring matches.  Was looking forward to this match but good chance they may see each other down the line.

Anyone know why Surtin has been MIA the last couple duals?

At the WV dual he was wrapped and on crutches. I believe he should be back in a couple of weeks.

A stud like Jacques?  He's started the season strong, but I'd hardly call him a stud.
