I just dropped in on FRL for the first time in a while this week.

What the hell is going on with that new set for FRL?

They look so uncomfortable sitting in those chairs with the man spreads. Pyle fidgets with his mic so constantly because he is so uncomfortable that it makes it uncomfortable for me to watch.

Pyles also needs to stop couching everything he says with "I think". We assume that if you are saying something you think it, it basically translates to "I'll say this, but will take it back if it will make anyone mad at me."

Looks to me like they're going with the modern podcast set up.  Feels like most current podcasts I see are the guys sitting in chairs.  They do appear uncomfortable/awkward, but that can happen any time you change something you've been doing for a long time.  I assume it will smooth out over the next couple of months as they get used to it.

I had the same reaction. I think they need a table or something in front of them again so their legs aren’t showing.

I watch it twice a week every week, comment in their chat, and enjoy it. They do a great job. I look forward to them and BEG Wrestling.

I understand that everybody’s job on the internet is to complain and pretend you can do better, but you won’t because you can’t.

Somebody called Pyles a jive turkey last week. You telling me there’s something funnier anywhere else in life? There isn’t. I have another name for him loaded in the chamber, but I want to strike when the iron is hot. Might send it Askren’s way if it feels right.

I was going to post exactly that. He caresses the coffee cup without ever drinking, and he moves that mic every two seconds.

You might be surprised how little stuff can affect even regular public speakers.  I had a guy, good public speaker, get completely flustered when he had to speak without a lectern.

I think they should do the show from voting booths so ONLY their legs are showing

Oh, I get it. I do a lot of public speaking. I have had people in the audience take pics so I can see what it looks like. You learn to be still.

100%.  The tics are very distracting.

I’m amazed at how many people stare at the screen for a podcast.  I usually just listen while I’m doing something else.   Maybe I’ll have to see what the fuss is about. On second thought.

I'm continually surprised at how many people watch podcasts, especially hour+ long ones. Podcast listening is something I do when I go for a ride, drive, or even rock climb. To each their own!

I don't watch the podcast, but the videos make it to my Twitter feed.

OH I CAN ANSWER THIS IT IS IN MY DIGITAL WHEELHOUSE!

Genuinely, a lot of this behavior in general has to do with the ease of opening a Youtube tab then going back to work. Spotify and Amazon Music both can have wonky experiences on browser and desktop app alike. A lot of folks leave their work headphones paired to their computer, and if the podcast is showing a clip/replay that they want to view then they can migrate to the tab then go back to work when it's done.

Yeah on the first episode Askren asked “where are you going to put your computer to look stuff up” but seems like they haven’t been since the switch

Are you really suggesting we can't do better?

It's been awkward. Especially when they are on their phones looking stuff up. Tyler/ Ollie at the bar with the computer have the best spot.  I'm having a hard time seeing grown ups, under seventy wearing white sneakers...

You're telling me that you all WATCH FRL?  I struggle to sometimes finish an episode listening on Spotify.

I have a hard time listening to FRL talking about their fantasy wrestling teams and straying off topic.  Basch-N'the Willie cover alot more in the same amount of time.
