The right AD move is to not say a thing. Just make them go away. If they are not ever on the team then there is nothing to comment on.

On behalf of Penn State fans, no one is terrified of the Ferraris.

Why? Middle one isn’t that good. Little one is great, but isn’t done with high school. Big one, three years left counting this one. If he joins this year, good for him, doesn’t move the needle at NCAAs.

But man, they are just cancer for recruiting. Despite Bob Nicolls’ money, they can’t land anyone besides DeLuca. If you read GIA, they thought they were getting at least one of Henckel and Desmond. Penn State is out recruiting them at a 2 or 3 to 1 ratio, and the Ferraris are only going to make it worse. It’s great. There will be 2 years of actual points from the Ferraris, if they stick around.

The same "book it" as no Iowa wrestlers will miss any time due to gambling Fauxbon?

I gotta think, like Chittam, a large portion of high school blue chippers and their parenrs don't want to be around the Ferrari's

I think keeping them will be detrimental for future recruiting with more and more blue chippers steering clear of them specifically.

I think this just goes away if the AD and Tom Brands do the right thing for Iowa and the sport.  I don't remember anybody in any official capacity officially remarking that A.J. was in the Hawks plans for '24.  Many assumed he was.  I bet Tom Brands quietly cuts ties with the boy, and never utters a word publicly about him or the family.

John cares too much about the sport to chuckle at this.  This is an AD level decision but implementation at the head coach level.

Tom Brands frantically doing a Google search:

“How do I erase the internet?”

The only way an AD with half a brain lets AJ onto the wrestling team is if somehow she doesn’t find out about it. I don’t know the first thing about Beth Goetz but I assume she has a cell phone and an email account. And, that both of them blew up last night.

I'm pretty sure they blew up within 5 minutes of the punch & birds.  And surely she already had a Ferrari file on her desk.

Any other school? Maybe. Not Iowa - wrestling may not be king, but it certainly has a permanent seat at the royal table.

Never argue with an idiot. They will only bring you down to their level and beat you with experience.

My wife asked me about the jacka*s wrestler who flicked off the crowd.  She knows nothing about wrestling and this was on her social media feed.

Yeah. Terrible optics for Iowa.

A coworker who has watched zero point zero wrestling matches in his life texted me about it this morning.

Brands won’t even comment about who’s suspended for gambling, of course he’s not going to comment about guys that aren’t even on the team.

Will be interesting to see what happens with Angelo if AJ and Anthony are out though.  Who knows if they actually will he though
