Let's see.   Record heat wave in CA proves Global Warming.   Drought in TX proves Global Warming.   Record cold wave proves Global Warming.    Tough to see the logic here.

Global Climate Change is an oxymoron.   The climate is always changing.   This does not mean what it says. It means global warming pure and simple.   But it is meant to infer that rising CO2 levels can change the climate hotter or colder, although it really means only warmer.   So the term is a lie in and of itself.

It's called "change" because it also affects precipitation. So, it's warming but that warming can impact precipitation in a variety of ways.

So precipitation stayed the same until we got "change."  Maybe get a PhD or stay in your lane.  Does "climate change" affect rocks?

Wait, let me guess, you need me to provide a link because you refuse to use Google yourself.

Fine. But this just one last time...

Climate change - Wikipedia (this is a link - but for it to work, you actually have to click it and read what follows.)

As anyone knows who has actually paid attention, climate change is a problem that is precisely what has been explained.

Even Ionel knows that you should stay in your lane if you don't understand the topic. (And Ionel is experienced there!)

From the Wiki

Present-day climate change includes both global warming—the ongoing increase in global average temperature—and its wider effects on Earth's climate system. Climate change in a broader sense also includes previous long-term changes to Earth's climate.

So does climate change include global cooling as in the ice ages that the earth has had as recently as 200+ years ago?   The term Climate Change infers any change to the climate.   But in modern terms it means global warming.   So why not just say global warming?   Because that wasn't working, wasn't selling, so as most leftists do, they change the language to be less clear.

I know that climate change and global warming are synonymous.   You can't say climate change is different because it is concerned with the effects of global warming, as is global warming.   They are one and the same to everyone except those that want argue the point.   And then they have to argue why climate change doesn't mean global cooling.   Tough row to hoe.  BTW - thank you for providing a link.   It really proves my point.

It really isn't that complicated. The global warming is happening at a much more rapid rate than any other changes (solar or orbit/axis changes) that would otherwise cause cooling. For all practical purposes, they're the same thing except that climate change also incorporates precipitation and wind pattern changes that result from the global warming.

So then just call it global warming with all its effects.   I agree it's not that complicated.  Calling it climate change complicates the matter.

I'd be fine w that. Don't care too much. It's semantics to me.

Scientists used to use the term "global warming" but a lot of folks (like yourself) would get bent out of shape when winter came and it got cold outside. They just couldn't quite figure out how it could be -10 outside and still be concerned about "global warming." Just like the flat-earthers, they thought they had a real handle on it. (But they had no idea.)

So - instead - people who understand these things got together and agreed a better way to explain it to these folks would be to describe it with a bit more general term. They landed on "climate change". Which does make a lot of sense. The "global warming" isn't making it hot everywhere all the time. But it is effecting change in the climate the world over in a multitude of ways. What we are experiencing is more severe weather swings, both short term and long term. "Climate change" is a better term.

And, with any luck, the dolts who couldn't figure out that "global warming" didn't mean it would be hot year-round could now just go away and stop pretending to be anything other than the idiots they were.

Is it also true that Global Warming was killing sales of snowplows and the change to Climate Change increased demand to above normal levels?  😉

Right, Mandate mandate mandate.  Tax this, credit that, social compliance scores, no driving without prior approval, 7 lifetime flights.  Hoax hoax hoax.  Command, control.  Freedom causes global warming and climate changes up, down, sideways, etc. etc.

People who tolerate me on a daily basis . . . they are the real heroes.

The dumb wingers like to mix issues together. Man made global warming is indisputable. What to do about it is very open to debate.

Apparently taxing everything is the go to answer for the left.  That's not open to debate.   Unfortunately for the left, you can't tax your way out of this.  And AI data centers are showing the fallacy of depending on sun and wind for power.

I'm not 100% sold on anything specific without cooperation from China, etc so that's a lie.

We DO need higher taxes, 110%, but not because of global warming necessarily.

You actually want to give more money to the government? Why? Because they are doing so well spending all the money they currently have? I would be a lot more confident sending more of my money to the government if I knew for sure that it wasn't being spent fraudulently year after year or supporting other country's endless wars.

Yah, the military is where the most waste is. However, our deficit is so big that we'd still have a jumbo deficit AFTER almost completely gutting military spending.

Also, EVERYBODY needs to pay more. Not just the rich.

I feel like it never ends. I don't see them cutting military that much because of current unrest.

So we can use the military against our own people? Huh?
