He did everything possible to lose to Musukaev in their match when other Americans have shown a very clear blueprint for beating him. He threw that match away. Is how I feel a lot of his matches will go against the top guys at the weight . Obviously it'd be nice if he was in Rivera's spot, but still he should get a couple cracks at a medal, he just needs to surprise one or 2 guys and BOOM!
