I hear Gable is going to forfeit his first match, so he can get some practice wrestling under pressure… ain’t no best of three at Worlds.

By, “I hear,” I mean I made it up, but it would be a savage move.

Explain Vito beating Garrett 9-2 for us.  Only a month ago.

I feel like that is at least two straight by the much younger Vito, too. (possibly three straight)

Add in familiarity, this is not a great trend for Garrett.

In Garrett's favor, he has a training situation much better than it has been in years.

He has demolished him many times now.  Some of those ass-whoopings were before Arujau took this metaphorical leap this last year.

duffield has made a jump and coming off the pan am gold i am hoping for something special...

ildar looks tired and dalton has pace on pace on pace...

bey did not fall for kikiniou's trick at vegas... i don't see much changing there...

vera will be just too "greco" for braunagel...

vegas showed that coon can't just decide to come back one month out and hope to compete with schultz...

author's note-

history has proven me to be the absolute worst predictor of match results so grain of salt, FWIW, all that jazz...

If you are the absolute worst and mine are even just slightly better that means 2 of the 3 that we have differently would be mine being correct.  Sooooo... Koontz, Kikiniou, or Coon.  Two of them would win, to keep mine just slightly better than yours.  I like those odds.

57 KG - Thomas Gilman over Zane Richards - 6-0, 6-0, controlled handfights, go behinds, 2 takedowns

61 KG - Nahshon Garrett over Vito Arujau - 4-2, 10-9, controlled match one, both let it fly in match 2 - could be even higher scores

65 KG - Yianni Diakomihalis over Nick Lee - 5-2, 4-4

70 KG - Zain Retherford over Tyler Berger - 6-0, 6-0 Zain not at risk at anytime

74 KG - Kyle Dake over Jason Nolf - 6-2, 4-4

79 KG - Jordan Burroughs over Chance Marsteller 6-1, 8-2

86 KG - David Taylor over Aaron Brooks - 4-0, 8-0, DT in control

92 KG -Zahid Valencia over Michael Macchiavello 6-4, 4-3

97 KG - Kyle Snyder over J’den Cox - 4-0, 4-2 - some sort of controversy whether scoring issue or emotional reaction but a setup for a storyline for 2024 trials

125 KG - Gable Steveson over Mason Parris - 6-0, 6-0

I don't see any of these going 3 matches so I expect to be wrong on many levels and will guess that 92 has the greatest chance of going 3 matches.

Anyone have the bout order?

The BTS exec director said they are rolling lightest to heaviest across all 3 mats.

I agree with this.   I think there will be some with 3 matches.   57 maybe, 61 maybe, and 92 maybe.

I agree.  It will likely be 2-4 points to 0-1 points for both matches, in favor of JB.

If they aren't that low, then it is JB paying the lace man and winning 10-12 points to 0-1 points.
