headshuck Posted June 4 Posted June 4 In the last RAF event they went to Ben for commentary and he struggled a bit to clear his lungs to make his comments. Maybe that’s his new normal going forward and we shouldn’t be concerned.

mspart Posted June 4 Posted June 4 Ben can do what he wants. Is it smart - probably not. Is it a way to say he is able to - Absolutely. Does he need to - No Is there a more than average risk - Yes I get all the arguments and if it were me, I'd pray everyday thanks to God for the miracle of modern medicine and do something to pay it forward continually. I think I would want to get into enough shape not to be breathing distressed all day every day. It sounds like he is there. But this is really not sonthign I would do. I have a friend here in the neighborhood that just got a kidney transplant . It was good until it wasn't. He is in great distress right now. It can happen and I'd be happy to be alive and fairly healthy. If I were Ben, and I am not, I would be not looking to compete but to make the world better in some way and he has the way to do that currently. Ben will do what he will do. I don't agree with it, but it does show courage. Hopefully it is not foolishly. My $0.02. mspart 6
GlassPrison Posted June 6 Posted June 6 I think we are all saying the same thing. We want Ben to be safe and we want him to live his life like he wants to. We know there’s risk and hope he’s safe about it. He has a family and we want them to have a full life together. Everything is speculation and it’s Ben’s choice to make. Probably should stop arguing amongst ourselves and let Ben do what he will do.
