I don't see a thread on this guy so I'm starting one.   

This is the first time that I can remember where the Ds did not circle the wagons for their guy and protect him.   They are all throwing him under the bus.   To be correct, he apparently threw himself under the bus.   Anyway, anytime an R has something shady, they ahve to go now.   Swalwell had a fling with Fang Fang, the chinese spy, and they circled the wagons and did not even remove him from his committee assignment.   He did not get that treatment this time.   Good for the Ds for doing the right thing for once.

Now Katey what's her face thinks she is gonna be something.   The two Rs in the race are the two top vote getters.  They run a top two primary in CA.   Even Hapless Swalwell wasn't running better than those two.

But mind you, nothing untoward ever happened.   Just a few lapses in judgement.   

The problem is everyone knows him and knows what he does.   And this is what he does.   Perhaps his family will survive intact, but maybe not.   It was an easy thing to avoid.   It is not something that is acceptable these days but:

1.  Don't be alone with a woman that is not your wife.   This is to protect both.  The woman could make up stuff and vice versa.  Or something bad can happen.  

2.  That just about takes care of it.

His supporters will likely now go to other dem candidates and could push one of those candidates over the Republicans.  That is my understanding.

But I am not well-versed on CA politics.

Well newsome is term limited and can’t run why would this be because he is “challenging” newsome that doesn’t make sense

Conservative “influencers” such as Nick Sortor claim they had dirt on Swalwell since 2022 that he never shared.  It’s not just Dems who supposedly sat on this info

The Chinese spy thing was long before that.  Dems circled the wagons.
