By their recent standards, Cornell has a terrible year last year.  I am not sold on Grey as a head coach, but they look pretty good on paper next year (although losing Shapiro, most likely) and would imagine Grey deserves another shot- if not multiple shots. (Unless there is something we are not aware of on the administrative level)

I know Yianni himself gave a lot of credit to Grey specifically.  I don’t think he’d even want the head job now, nor should they give it to him with him having basically no experience even at the youth level like Taylor had.   But in 5 years or so when Yianni gets more years under his belt Cornell could be in a sticky situation as Grey is relatively young as far as coaches to go.

So seems part of the reason for the Dresser move is that ISU is also adding a  women’s team so Dresser will oversee both.  Alli St John (formerly Ragan) to be HC

I just cannot imagine how this is true.  Metcalf would for sure be the heir apparent if he came over. You think Iowa was trying to set that up? 

They got Warner instead of Metcalf. That's not apples to apples. I don't think Iowa goes after Metcalf and settles for Warner.

A lot of talk that Haught will be moving to the RTC and Virginia tech may bring in a 2nd new coach with Green

Head coach job at Citadel still posted.  Luke Welch is the only coach on their website, listed as interim Head Coach, so even if he becomes permanent seems there should be other openings as well.

Wisconsin must’ve heard Iowa State was shaking things up and got scared, so they extended Bono’s contract on Wednesday.

Bono was paid a little north of $280k in FY 2024, so it must be creeping up on $300k/year salary. 

In all seriousness, when an Athletic Director quits on Monday, why not reschedule the Wednesday meeting to extend six coaches’ contracts a little bit, even if they are just rubber stamped?

Caldwell just moved back to NJ and opened a youth wrestling club and has been helping out at his high school , he was having a lot of success in Florida running a club with Greg Jones idk if he’s still apart of that .  I don’t see him moving to Iowa anytime soon lol he also doesn’t like metcalf he’s said as much in interviews

I really hope Mytych finds a landing spot.  He seems like he is very effective as a recruiter (with strong links to the lehigh valley) and his work with the lower weights.
