Well, I personally hope he gets back wrestling ASAP. Although I posted stuff above that's a bit hard, I stand by that because, if you step up to a position of moral leadership (and he certainly did), you're going to be held accountable to that. He had no business there, lecturing to young wrestlers about living a Christian life when he clearly couldn't do it himself. I think a lot of people are growing tired of the "gospel of prosperity", tired people like Ted Haggard, Dennis Hastert, and others telling us how to live while engaging in behavior that's totally anathema to their words. So yeah, Snyder is getting rather tough criticism because of this. I don't wish him ill will, but I don't wish ill will to anybody for that matter.

I’d say the bigger joke is the guy citing bible verses and then paying to cheat on his wife, but maybe that’s just me.

I'm ok. Bummed, though. However, truthfully, the wrestling team doesn't effect my emotions THAT much. I don't have the lifelong Fandom, and as I've mentioned never even been in the state of Iowa. Now the Giants and Knicks? Those teams affect me.

Yeah but you seemed to be taking the same stance that there are all these problems aside from having something like 9 surgeries in the past 7-8 years... weight cuts are difficult on everyone but I wouldn't pin any of Yianni's losses on a weight cut so again, I'm just curious other than injuries and weight cut issues that haven't seemed to be an issue what all these problems are that you mention? I genuinely don't know what you're referring too so just seeking to understand what else the issue has been that has only netted him 4 national titles US Open titles and a world silver medal at 65kg that hadn't been done in over a decade?

You get a lot right here, but I have to take issue with the idea that people are just calling out his faith. They aren’t. They are calling out the hypocrisy of what he says and preaches to others and how what he does behind closed doors goes completely against it. If he wasn’t so outspoken about lifestyle, morality, the right path, then I’d be with you.

I can't speak for @Husker_Du. But Duke has battled some injuries throughout HS, so he doesn't have the some of the same accolades as some of the all-time great HS recruits (Spencer, Gable, Mark Hall, etc.). But in terms of upside and skill set, he's in that group in my eyes. Maybe one tier below, but it's splitting hairs imo.

There's some real brilliance in this thread. PD3 and Snyder are on two totally different wavelengths. Comparing the two based on a simple credit system, it is insulting to even point to PD3 as a viable comparison. Media outlets can't say much, because there are still a ton of legal implications, the hunger for people to hear "takes" and "moral outrage" speaks to how far our media has fallen in general. People think moral outrage is actual journalism. There is still a lot out there to be determined. Prostitution is not a good look, I get it, but unless the person in question is underage it is a victimless crime. Feeling great about calling Snyder on his outward faith is certainly on the table for those that like to dunk on people when all they have is a keyboard in their win column. Can't object to it but it's low hanging fruit. Snyder needs help. He also has a mountain and a half of personal issues to resolve. I hope he figures things out. To me the whole thing is just a bummer. 1. He embarrassed himself and worse his family. Tied in secondarily is the representation of wrestling he carries with tOSU and now NLWC. No winners here. 2. The further embarrassment of the sport on socials by mouth breathers coming out to dunk on him for the behaviors or his faith.

There’s a budget bill being debated right now. How much of it is Trump writing? How closely does it adhere to his proposal? How much responsibility do you attribute to the President for its final result? Should he veto the entire bill if he disagrees with part of it?
