Simpler answer: The B-2 is the only airframe that won’t get blown out of the sky AND is capable of carrying the GBU-57. The B-52 would work in uncontested airspace. Israel has likely destroyed a lot of Iranian IADS, but not all, and the B-52 has a big ass radar cross section and limited ability to counteract an incoming SAM.
