  3. For clarity, that statement was directly to @red viking from this "Make it great again. Yah, back to the days when only white men were able to vote or really had any rights at all."
  4. How you got that from what I wrote, I have absolutely no idea This sounds nice, and I do wish that were the case. However, it does not square, at all, with the fact that the originator of the phrase constantly and consistently talked about what a horrible country we had become, it was the #1 theme of his campaign trail. And it included consistent referencing of “third world country”. That cannot be argued, at least not by anyone who was paying attention. And it does not square with what you said above. If what you stated above were accurate, the more appropriate phrase would have been “Make America More Great”, but that phrase would not at all align with the message during the campaign. But, to each their own. Another thing that has made America, consistently, the greatest country in the world.
  5. Is he really? I will be up about 4% on my portfolio for this year as of tonight. About 11% up since May 1stt 2024. Not bad.
  6. You may have been able do one side than the other with gut wrenches? We might need someone else to weigh in too because my memory is getting a bit foggy too lol. The multiple laces stopped sometime after John Smith (I heard it said he laced too many people and that’s why they wanted it changed lol). It was single turns when started freestyle in the late 90s, so maybe it changed after the 96 Olympics. I believe the “ball grab era” started after the 2004 Olympics… that’s when the rules really sucked!
  7. But rv is making a killing shorting the market.
  8. Two weeks ago, we saw MatScouts release the final Big Board rankings for the high school Class of 2025. We've done plenty of studies over the years to figure out which programs recruit the best and here's another one to add to the mix. We'll look at MatScouts Big Board rankings for each of the last six years to determine how many of a specific category each school has signed. With national titles and All-American honors so heavily dependent on signing high school superstars - there are six different levels for the top 100. Top 5 recruits, Top 10 recruits, Top 25 recruits, Top 50 recruits, Top 75 recruits, and Top 100. After that we've used the top 150 and top 200 benchmarks. For purposes of this study, if a wrestler was ranked #24 in his graduating class, he counts for the top 25 category and all others behind it. We have only listed DI programs who have signed top 200 recruits within this period 2020-25. These years were used because prior to 2020 the MatScouts Big Board only went up to the top 100. 200 is the limit as some of the Big Boards in this time have 200, while others go up to 250 or 300. 11. I read somewhere that of the jobs creates in the last several years. 20 percent where government jobs. I would like to know how they calculate the part jobs into the numbers they give us. It may take 2 or 3 part time jobs to equal one full time job.
  12. My guess "going to be called for stalling" is when the count starts. However, I believe there are situations where there is no count when the ref is considering top man for stalling. How will that work??? I agree...better have some smart and wrestling knowledgable people at the tables to stop that riding time. I see matches being stopped a lot to get the riding time right.
  13. I can tell you one thing.. that promo almost makes me not to watch the event and I love the sport. Can't imagine many people saw that and circled the date on their calendars.
  14. Agree...dumb penalty. I am not sure what is meant by that recommendation when it's already a rule???? Forgot to add another recommendation: "Allowing the offensive wrestler to leave both feet and use one or both legs to return their opponent to the mat when the defensive wrestler is standing (broomstick position). The double knee kickback, however, still would be illegal. "
  15. When is the offensive wrestler "going to be called" for stalling? Is this when the referee begins a count? So essentially you're just taking away 4 seconds at a time and creating a whole new mess for the scoring table to manage? Or is it when the top wrestler is called for stalling the riding time stops? I actually love the idea that if you get called for stalling in the top position that riding time stops. Especially in tie-breakers. It would essentially give you two potential ride-out results. A dirty ride out when you take a stall call (can't get 30 seconds of RT) or a clean ride out where the wrestler would get their full 30 seconds of RT.
  16. DOGE saved jack squat because the amount of "fraud" in govt was magnitudes lower than he fraudulently declared.
  17. Tariffs haven't even hit yet. We'll see what happens when they do but the cowardly Trump is already backing off of that like a tub of jello while China stood their ground FIRM.
  18. The numbers will climb fast if the US investment commitments come to fruition. I hope people are ready to get to work.
  19. Not a fan of tossing or sliding equipment being a unsportsmanlike conduct penalty. Intent is the key there and I am struggling to see how sliiding something is unsportsmanlike.
  20. Yes. I go on Pat Minow's facebook all the time to post where kids I have absolutely no connection or relation to are going to Colleges I also have no connection or insider knowledge of. No. I do follow Pat Minnow on any platform...much less Facebook.
  21. It is interesting that he is so good at wrestling but doesn't seem to really love it. He could be one of the top guys in the world for a while. Just an interesting character.
  22. I wasn't sure. The rules were changing so much...but I've had a disagreement with an old coach of mine. He said two guts were allowed. But...I do remember you could do 5 laces or I learned it as the "Olympic" Role. This would have been when I was a little kid just starting out in Freestyle and Greco. So...mid 90s or so.
  23. Today
  24. Oh wow you're right. That's a headscratcher considering some people are double-dipped from OTT for the single spot. Not that head scratching decisions from USAW are uncommon...
  25. Wait until you hear what the Israeli public thinks about killing Palestinians. Keep advocating for the slaughter of civilians and one day it might come back to bite you. Empire always comes home.
  26. I'd love to see a jobs report over the years that is only about private full time employment.
  27. @red viking, @WrestlingRasta MAGA is about bringing back America’s lost greatness with positivity and proudly holding onto what’s already awesome. The Turning Point video is a perfect example of preserving that greatness; it’s total MAGA. Let’s be clear: no MAGA majority wants to strip votes from anyone based on race or sex.
