  1. Tabor has lost all of his confidence. He was literally a machine at Simley. No offense on his feet. He looks to have no match awareness, he looked lost against Kueter. Not sure what to say
  2. Mike Poeta Sam Hazewinkle Eric Tannenbaum Nick Simmons
  3. Jake patascil vs Brent Metcalf
  4. What is the crush on McKee? Everyone is living in the past with him at this point. He’s always been a guy in the 8-15 ranking range the past 5 years. What manipulates peoples minds is he is very good at refocusing on the backside of the bracket. Better than most everyone else. Go through his brackets and see that he rarely runs into those landmine guys. He has been injured obviously look at his left knee. He literally had nothing more to give whether it be lack of cardio, injury or IMO he has Had Enough Wrestling. His body is injured badly and he just can’t take much more punishment
  5. Put a wrestler in a swimming pool and they are done after 2 laps. Different cardio
  6. The guys who generally hit it are the guys who wrestle 100+ matches a year since they were youth and didn’t play other sports in school. It’s a lot easier to hang on longer when you were multi sport athletes growing up
  7. Always an excuse for McKee. Whether it’s the Weight Cut, Injury, Age, I have even heard the excuse that he had finals that week before.
  8. Clay Carlson and Patrick McKee appear to have HEW as 6th year seniors
  9. The end is near for AJ. His brothers may need to distance themselves from the old man. This just wreaks the same stink as LaVar Ball. 3 sons, dads huge ego making it about himself because he never met his own goals. Best fit would be Poeta at Illinois, Storniolo at NW and Bono at Wisconsin being they are all Italian. Bono would seem the most desperate
  10. Not everyone will make this team, period.
  11. He’s also Italian so a feel good to bring another minority in
  12. Historically old guys haven’t fared well at Olympic trials. Metcalf and Herbert just plain tanked to end there careers falling off a Cliff
  13. When a person is near the top of the ladder and continues to get passed up by new post grad talent and drops from 1-3 to 2nd tier. Gilman appears to be in this currently, James Green recently was as well. Alex Pantaleo is another, lost to guys moved up from 61kg he shouldn’t lose to
  14. Outside of the guys who already have who else would be eligible? Could Spencer Lee compete for France? AJ Ferrari, Austin DeSanto and Nick Suriano for Italy like Realbuto?
  15. What racial mix is Bartlett? I’ve always been curious is he 1/4 black, Hispanic?
  16. Thing is everyone is remember his Covid year and redo sophomore years in 2021 and 2022. He got 6th at big tens last year and lost rd of 16 to Dean Peterson last year. I am like most MN fans, we want to see it but it’s doubtful we do again.
  17. This is the oldest that any McKee has been in college. Mitchell never redshirted and was appearing to have HEW at age 22. Patrick started to show similar at age 22-23 last season and has not wrestled well this year. I would of rather seen him at 133 this season.
  18. McKee won’t win 5 matches in a row without having a sloppy match. Won’t happen
  19. Agree 1000%, he will be yet another year 6 guy who is sick of the weight cut and long term effects on his body with the style he wrestles. I wish we had Spratley to be honest as they will have similar NCAA results finishing short of AA status. McKee has struggled on bottom the last year.
  20. Hopke lost his first high school matches at the MN Xmas tourney to Schunke
  21. Tom Brands was pinned by Alan Fried at Midlands and Joey Gilbert in the B1G finals
  22. He got pinned by a Italian guy from Oregon as well
  23. He was what the 26 seed at NCAAs? He wasn’t even in the lineup half the season. This is probably closer to who he really is than a top 5 guy. He beat over seeded Stevo Poulin, Patrick McKee (who sucks front side), Eric Barnett(similar to McKee, better backside and funky) and Killian Cardinale. Great draw, he’s good against funky guys
  24. Ricardo Alcala, Matt Powless, Adam Chalfant, Taylor Walsh were all bigger guys who AA’d late in the Goldman era. They always had good 197-285 guys. The problem Indiana has always sucked for the most part in the 141-184 range.
  25. Just my 2 cents here but IMO Salazar hits the transfer portal after this season. I bet McEnelly is in his league currently. I do think he’s better than Gavin Nelson though, who I think is better than Tabor. I would like to see 184 McEnelly 197 Salazar and Hwt Nelson next year. Otherwise I see Salazar going home to Northern Colorado
