As a MN fan I would rather see McKee against guys like Ramos and Barnett than Davis and Ayala.

Garrett Joles, he’s been somewhat under ranked all season. He has taken most of the best guys right until the end and beaten a couple. He really wasn’t much more than a body out there his first few years, qualified as a HWT last year and now comes back wrestling well looking like Big Papa Pump Scott Steiner

Honestly a great program example of this overtime was Minnesota in the JRobinson era. Identifying the type of recruit who works in your system. Lots of guys from Minnesota class A(schools under 400 enrollment) have done well and AA’d or won titles. Kevin Steinhaus, Brett Pfarr, Brad Pike, Owen Elzen, Jacob Volkmann, Chad Kraft, Brad Gibson, Matt Nagel, Tyler Safratowich and Zach Sanders all made the awards stand from small town Minnesota. In addition to that you brought in Tim Hartung and Cole Konrad from Small town Wisconsin. These guys all way out performed recruiting rankings, that is if they were even ranked and many of these guys were not.

She’s 33 and in women’s sports historically age catches up to them much quicker than men but they also hit their prime a few years younger than men do. Look at her results, her prime was 2014-2019

When will the Big Ten, etc switch to having quads at the college level? 1/3 of the weigh ins per season, I know less events means less money. I would think it saves a lot on the travel budget as well. For instance Iowa hosts Nebraska, Illinois and Rutgers at Carver on a Sunday for a noon, 2pm and 4pm event.

I would not foresee Roberts beating Webster. 149 must be rather poor this year because Roberts has next to 0 offense from his feet being ranked top 20. He was within striking distance at the end against Iowa and had no shots at all and ended up getting taken down again. At 133 I see Wells winning that match solidly. 141 is a coin flip, 165 is a coin flip, 174 is NOT going to be a close match as Ruth should dominate Sparks. Sparks has had so many injuries, he isn’t the same guy anymore sadly(think Brayton Lee). I think Tabor can wrestle with Luffman. I will say Illinois wins 149, 165 and 174. Final score Minnesota 25 Illinois 11

Burroughs shoes will be on the mat at trials, likely after a semis loss to Nolf. Gilman, I don’t necessarily see him as a shoes on the mat guy. Wells has beat 13,14 and 16. He lost to 15 and 16, he beat the guys that they threw out on Nebraska and Iowa. He should at worst be 17 and a good argument gives him 13

I foresee the 125-149-157-174 brackets falling apart at NCAAs. We will see multiple top 8 seeds at all 4 weights lose before the quarters
