  1. Hammer gave ja 50:1 odds and he won’t take it?! Wow, yeah that shows the lack of confidence involved more than anything, this was nothing but drivel.
  2. Why do I keep opening your threads? I’m in my 40’s, have everything I need/want in this life, and your posts make me feel like an angry adolescent again. Am I the problem?
  3. If the discussion is about the Ferrari’s or the size of wrestlers, @Jimmy Cinnabon is insurmountable. Sorry @JimmyCinnabon
  4. I still wonder if Kerk or Hendrickson took him into the 3rd in a close match if they miiiight be able to wear him out and get a late takedown. I’ve thought that would be the only chance and that he possibly might not be in as good of wrestling shape as he’s been in the past. There haven’t really been any signs of that, however.
  5. The 2027 team might be another record breaker, won’t Haines be the only senior in 2026? Hard to forecast all the offseason activity in college sports these days and injuries are always an unknown variable, but I think it’s gonna be a while until they score anything less than 150 at the tournament.
  6. I know it’s meaningless, but will the ranking services finally drop him a bit at least now, like behind Little? This is so pathetic
  7. Had the same thought, saw those mistakes so often at the high school state tourneys here this week.
  8. Still can’t believe that happened to Lilledahl, alarming. Has he been pinned in folkstyle since the start of his high school career?
  9. I would guess it’s true, that time of year. And the twitterverse in the wrestling world is always correct, right?
  10. This should be the closest dual of the year for Penn State. Davis, Kasak, and Kerk all out?
  11. I think bad losses should be a factor. Lovett was the only one that wasn’t majored in the cycle between the three. Tricky though without some well designed protocol and/or very similar conference precedent.
  12. I hope SVN gets the #3 seed, and an additional match for bonus points, just so Jimmy won’t create a new thread on Penn State collapsing as the R16 is finishing.
  13. Shoot, thought it might work. I wouldn’t worry about Haines. Kasak…a little. Davis very much, and not just whatever injury this is. I’ve said before I think this’ll be his last year as a starter and wrestling in the NCAA tournament for Penn State. Something is off
  14. Absolutely, very worried! Let’s wager straight up, I like to take risks and go with the underdog, so I get Haines. You take Braunagel, deal?
  15. That’s your thought and you’re picking him to win multiple NCAA titles AND a Hodge? Wth Jimmy
  16. Did you see Bartlett try to open up against Schriever to get bonus in the Iowa match? He looked lost. The shots were from a lot of space, took a lot of energy, and were never close. I guess it’s just not who he is, which is strange considering the talent. You’d think “who he is” would include some capabilities and consistency in pouring on some points. Wrestling personality is an interesting thing.
  17. I was going to ask if Arnold shoots, or just plays defense. Now I see why
  18. I’m aware, lived by the family for a lil bit and knew his dad at Boise State. But there are tiers/levels with this. I don’t think anyone would have said those two were on the same one before this s match. I would now
  19. Mendez doesn’t seem quite right. Maybe Vombaur’s just that good.
  20. Vombaur looking tough
  21. 285 thin for Penn State? I would think Cochran is about as good a backup for Mirasola, if needed, than anyone else in the country. Or did you mean the weight’s thinning out?
  22. He lost it when he missed on Wittlake Jimmy, just been really lucky since then.
  23. Sounds like a toss up and some maulings, 40-something to three final score maybe? At best for Illinois?
  24. Hello Hammer! How are you? I avoided the boards last night and wondered how people would see that one. I don’t remember really seeing anything like it in the past, or know how it relates to the definition and enforcement of the stalling rule. It very much seemed to me, and possibly it wasn’t MC’s intention, that he was purposely seeking stalemate to avoid being cut and taken down again. If that’s true, I think it’s a more egregious form of stalling than doing absolutely nothing. You see it differently?
