  1. Was the average seed 2.6? That is a high standard and hard to match. If they have no more losses, the average placement would be 2.4. Won’t happen, but they won’t be terribly far off. Your post this week on regression to the mean this year was spot on, the semifinal success rate couldn’t continue at that clip forever.
  2. I would think they’ll clear 140 within the first three or four matches. Lilledahl would seal it if he gets anything more than an MD against Ventresca. That’s very unlikely I know, but a possible outcome.
  3. Davis is a favorite seed-wise to wrestle for 3rd, which is kinda crazy. Fugitt seems like a different dude lately though, so who knows. Kasak/Shapiro should be interesting, TK looks a little rough though. If they all average a 4th place finish that’s 24.5 more team points with no bonus. I’d guess they’ll finish in the mid 160’s. If Barr hadn’t won, I’d feel different. I didn’t think he’d even make it through the tournament after his leg issue.
  4. Do you mean as far as individual champions? I haven’t looked at all the matchups yet, but a push to 170 is very possible tomorrow. They have seven guys in the consi-semis and I would think a good number of favorable matchups. Kerk possibly being done hurts that, though. But I get it. The last time Iowa won while Penn State ruled Saturday night felt like a victory in a way. The dual elements of individual and team titles fluctuate in seemed importance and pedigree
  5. What poll you looking at? It was 5 to 4 in favor of Hendrickson on the thread before the semis started.
  6. Not sure Kerk finishes this match, maybe his last in college?
  7. Lol, you two lovers should have known better. EVERY. SINGLE. YEAR. Jimmy, you even played the doctor role this year. And now Nebraska looks like they really want to wrestle for 7th, interesting strategy.
  8. Wuhoh, we looking at 10AA’s?
  9. It’s the same as a win in the quarterfinals
  10. That’s a sad way to live, he should read the Four Agreements and Anatomy of Peace
  11. Well maybe lol, it doesn’t mean they’re average and have *I poop my pants, don't laugh at me*ty coaches. Does marginalizing and chunking their lighter weights make you feel better about Nebraska losing? I think I need to just ignore going forward
  12. Nevermind, I was completely wrong. Penn State scored 70 points in the lighter weights last year, Nebraska 48.5. NC State was in the mid-20’s. You’re doing the same thing again. Missed what happened in the dual again I guess too? So weird
  13. What are you doin, why? I don’t know if trolling or not, but it’s just a ridiculous take. You said the same thing last year and I believe the only team that outscored them in the lighter weights was NC State. But yeah, like dragot said, there’s five more weights that make the team where they’re unparalleled. I just don’t understand why you continue to take these shots.
  14. I’d say if they lose two of their three blood round matches and five of the seven semis, could still be iffy. A failure rate like that might keep things open deeper into Saturday. But also depends of course on what Nebraska and OSU do. If Nebraska keeps having rounds like they just had, could still be in doubt to start tomorrow.
  15. Which match? It happens and “holding on” is typical for him after some more dynamic stuff in 1st periods. But he’s consistently pretty solid in those situations. You’ve seen what he’s done to Taylor this year and how he finished last year, he’s a legit 1 seed Anyway, that was the most disappointing one this session to me.
  16. Yeah it was weird, he didn’t have much left partway through the 2nd Period. I thought Lilledahl would struggle with the Seymour/Smith winner, still projected him as a slight favorite. He’s a completely different guy against those body types
  17. I don’t know what’s goin on with Kasak, but everything else for the most part kinda going as expected. Barr just looked really good, that was a beat down
  18. The Nits falling apart a bit. Brucey was right too, just happening one round later. Nebraska having a great round and Okie pretty solid. Looking interesting right now
  19. Haha touche’, both very true
  20. Surprised he’s out there, gotta respect that. Even more that he kept going at BIG’s
  21. Felt that way with Hamiti a couple weeks ago, not sure he can get away with it again and again. There’s a reason he’s KOT though, the dude finds a way. That’s why the Carr semi from last year still shocks me
  22. If Barr’s close to healthy, should be a 10/10 round and 9/10 on bonus. Has the early makings of a 100 point gap again
  23. Number three, right? Van Ness, Kasak, Haines
  24. Well it’s a double elimination tournament as some schadenfreuders found out after Kasak’s 1st round loss last year, so who knows. If each wrestler here lost the next successive match where applicable, is that what you’re getting at? I thought you’d at least know most guys have to lose twice. I’d guess it would still be enough to win. It’s just too unlikely Jimmy that it would occur twice that quickly for all but Davis, maybe.
  25. Iowa and Nebraska, I do not have a heart of peace like the noble Elevator
