    He looked like he was the prey, and 60 years old walking around out there. And then he’d become the most explosive guy in the sport for a few seconds at a time lol. I know he has that tendency, but this seems more…odd. He has to have multiple injuries. But that’s probably known too. I’m wondering how he’s gonna make it through the big one in two weeks

    I still wonder if Kerk or Hendrickson took him into the 3rd in a close match if they miiiight be able to wear him out and get a late takedown. I’ve thought that would be the only chance and that he possibly might not be in as good of wrestling shape as he’s been in the past. There haven’t really been any signs of that, however.

    The 2027 team might be another record breaker, won’t Haines be the only senior in 2026? Hard to forecast all the offseason activity in college sports these days and injuries are always an unknown variable, but I think it’s gonna be a while until they score anything less than 150 at the tournament.

    This should be the closest dual of the year for Penn State. Davis, Kasak, and Kerk all out?

    I think bad losses should be a factor. Lovett was the only one that wasn’t majored in the cycle between the three. Tricky though without some well designed protocol and/or very similar conference precedent.

    I hope SVN gets the #3 seed, and an additional match for bonus points, just so Jimmy won’t create a new thread on Penn State collapsing as the R16 is finishing.

    Shoot, thought it might work. I wouldn’t worry about Haines. Kasak…a little. Davis very much, and not just whatever injury this is. I’ve said before I think this’ll be his last year as a starter and wrestling in the NCAA tournament for Penn State. Something is off

    Did you see Bartlett try to open up against Schriever to get bonus in the Iowa match? He looked lost. The shots were from a lot of space, took a lot of energy, and were never close. I guess it’s just not who he is, which is strange considering the talent. You’d think “who he is” would include some capabilities and consistency in pouring on some points. Wrestling personality is an interesting thing.
