The more I learn about this...I sorta like it. Not seeing what is wrong with it at this point. Plus, there is a similar program already in place in the US (I think since the 90's), this is just a different twist to it. Everything I read, the first deciding factor will be the extensive vetting process and which absolutely should be very extensive. I know people are going to say that money will buy their way through the vetting process, but I guess I don't find the boogeyman in everything and assume it will be very strict. Seems like it would be a great revenue stream for the US as well as more than likely the people who can afford it will also bring a lot of tax money into the US and probably jobs. For those that are against it I'd love to hear your perspective. Please, don't waste your time if all you have is the "I hate Trum so that is why it is bad".

I have a question...is all it takes is a bunch of millionaires/billionaire to give a lot of money to a school collective/NIL to instantly make them successful....or, orrr...is there a lot more to it and the successful programs have always had a winning formula even before NIL that other schools haven't been able to figure out????

I agree it has nothing to do with skin color...and his skin color had nothing to do with my point...I was more trying to figure out why Desantis was pissed about who Trump is endorsing as I didn't know Desantis was endorsing his wife. If a company budget's $2.5M for a new POS system...it is in the budget...and it is determined that the POS system is no longer needed...did the company save $2.5M? How about if they had it in their budget to hire 25 new people in the current year; however, they did some process improvement and made things much more efficient and thus didn't need to hire the 25 new people...is that $$$ savings for the company?

When was the president sworn in again...only about 1.5 months ago...and yet people are complaining that DOGE has only cut a small percentage of the overall budget...then out the other side of their mouth complain they are going to fast?? I'll ask any of you who rip on Musk/Trump indiscriminately...let's just say what DOGE is cutting is a small percentage of the overall budget (again it's only been 1.5 MONTHS), do you honestly believe that it shouldn't be cut if it is wasteful/fraud because it is a small percentage??? You honestly don't think if this continues for another 3.75 years that a significant impact can be made to cut the budget and remove waste/fraud??
