  1. Then think about me not caring. Also think about finding the shift button on your keyboard.
  2. Well...I don't know about that, but IF Glory makes the finals, he's the guy who can do it.
  3. Kerkvliet exists....
  4. Is there some way to put an annoying old guy on ignore here? Do I really have to keep listening to babble on and on about something he's only ever watched? Dude, you're a Soccer Mom, but it's Greco. I hope you're not like this with women and you pick up on that hint a BIT faster...
  5. Holy ***duck duck goose** dude...3 straight posts. Yeah, you're DEFINITELY not the guy who can't take a hint! Can you show me that SUUUUPER exciting match where the Greatest Greco Wrestler of all time gives up his first points in a decade(though...they of course weren't) because he...adjusts his hands! "REAL Wrestling."
  6. Sure. So long as it's the weight you Wrestled at.
  7. dude.... i came to you? As you don't respect...I guess "fake" Wrestling, I don't respect you...so why would I want you to teach me something I'm ABSOLUTELY positive I know more about?
  8. Sure...I guess that's an argument. Things are a BIT different now than they were 100 years ago when he started out. Guys hadn't spend 10+ years by the time he started coaching them.
  9. LOL...bud, what are you going to teach me? That you're a fanboi? Your favorite wrestlers? You wanna play after school as well? Jesus...you seem like the guy who just corners you at a party and talks about 4 inches from your face and you just CANNOT get away from.
  10. It's Wrestling. They're all Me First guys when you come down to it. I mean...you have Drake Rhodes types(which I say with a great deal of respect...a '57/'65 going up and Wrestling Brooks was...ballsy). But your horses at a School like PSU...you're out there by yourself. I'd say Snyder was just as much a "me first" type guy when he was leaving OSU and Wrestling Freestyle...and I had zero issue with that.
  11. I gave you one. Whichever is closest to the weight YOU wrestled. Then you can teach me about the sport that...I actually participated in.
  12. I think the guy who'd benefit most from Wrestling multiple times would be Carr. I don't see HIM ducking. O'Toole is the defending Champ...not exactly lacking for confidence. Hard to envision him dropping. I'd really hope neither would duck, but we'll see.
  13. Whichever one you wrestled.
  14. Jesus...I don't know how Yianni slipped my mind. Yeah, I'll revise it to Lee and Yianni as the two closest to being locks. Can't see Gomez repeating his early season feat(even if he's healthy).
  15. LOL...sorry, I can't help but laugh at a guy who's "teaching" me a sport he's never actually done that I have.
  16. Lee is as close to a lock as you can get this year, but there's ALMOST never a "lock." Stevenson being the closest last year. I really think Lee can be beaten. Not likely, but as likely as Metcalf. I don't think I'd have Woods anywhere close to a lock. If I had to rank the most likely, it'd be Lee, Brooks, Starroci and then...I don't think I could think of a 4th "lock." O'Toole's a strong favorite. Too many locks have gotten beat for me to come up with more than Lee and, as I said, I think Glory MIGHT be able to put together the game plan to beat him if Glory is fat and healthy for that Sat Night.
  17. Yeah...I guess because I don't follow the current landscape that means I don't "know Greco." Again, wrestling it for ~8 years, 4 times at Fargo, WTTs, being an All American in Greco, wrestling in every State Greco Tourney from 5th grade through HS, every Northern Plains(winning most in both)...I must not "know Greco." -ESPECIALLY not as much as someone...who again never stepped on the mat in ANY style! OR...it could just be real simple. I-DON'T-AGREE-WITH-YOU...and you somehow can't accept that? Now you can go back to being a clown(well...not so much back as you never stopped, but I wanted the continuity).
  18. I PROMISE you're not making the point you think you are...because even if I DIDN'T know, how hard to you think it'd be to figure it out? Roman Vlasov vs Akzhol Makhmudov!!! Wow...that...that apparently means something...I guess? Do I get bonus points for mentioning how absolutely ridiculous it is that probably the most well known American Greco Wrestler of all time is coming back...again in his 50s? Gable tried to come back in his prime and Kemp shut him down, but not in the MANLY style! Seriously, what point are you making? That I don't follow Greco that closely? I mean...I don't. I love Wrestling and that shit is boring. When I see guys like Provisor and Thielke and Holm making world teams...it's just not that impressive OR exciting to me. Now we can hammer this to death with a Greco fanboi because his kid Wrestle's Greco or you could just shut the ***duck duck goose** up about it already? I'm really just fine with either....brother.
  19. Ok...but which one?
  20. 125-DNP 133-1st 141-4th 149-Rd 12 157-1st 165-Rd 12 (I really have no clue here....this weight is just so deep. I just think it's too easy to see Facundo losing in the quarters and then seeing a stud on the backside). 174-1st 184-1st 197-4th HWT-1st I've been arguing Haines would win it since last year...provided Carr goes '65 and he did, so I'm not gonna jump off that bandwagon now. Of the 5 Champs, I think Brooks, Starroci, RBY, Kerkvliet and Haines are the most likely, in that order to win it. I'm a little surprised people are picking against Brooks. Less so that they're picking against RBY, but I think his loss was a fluke. But...that's why this tournament is so great. It'd hardly be shocking if any of these guys lost...or, if a vet like Dean can find a way to repeat or Bartlett can manage to get to the finals and win it.
  21. Yeah, that kid is...NOT lacking confidence! I kinda like it. I also like how the kid headed to Iowa is calling him out. You can't be great without that level of confidence...you probably don't need to articulate it at all times and I personally preferred the manner in which Starocci's current head coach conducted himself on the mat, but when you win, you get to talk a little more.
  22. I'm not shitting on Greco. I think all Wrestling, especially at the highest levels if incredible. I just think one is less incredible...and I'd have kept that to myself if not for just obnoxious bloviating by someone...again, I hate to hammer this point, but who NEVER Wrestled! LOL...the nerve to talk shit about how superior one style is and you've NEVER competed? Yeah, I AM having a little trouble with that. Having any respect for that opinion. That's ballsy IMO. Go tell Snyder or Stevenson they're competing in the Women's style, the soft style...they're not tough because they're not Wrestling Greco! As for Rutt...he was a stud. But when you come up with examples about how GREAT and superior Greco is using the NCAAs, you need to do a little better than going back a decade for a 1X AA. I'd have gone with Schultz personally, but even then, he not only got smoked by a Freestyle Wrestler because he was just a MUCH better athlete, but HWT's is the one weight that tends to favor Greco with the handfighting and how few people like to shoot and get under a HWT. You'll still see guys like Kerkvliet, Snyder, Gwiazdowski win 9X out of 10 when matched up with a Greco guy, but Christ, it's better than having to go back to Travis Rutt to make your point.
  23. So what? THEY ARE! They literally are...he wants to be a Gyno...which I'll grant you, a bit odd for a HS student, but not gay. Also, My GF loves watching Wrestling, she's huge FB fan, BB fan, super laid back...she's cool. She was also athlete in College. She combines the best things I like about Women(a BIG one of those is not actually having the penis and testicles and being women...by the definition we've used up until about 26 months ago) AND she's not exactly one of the guys, but that shit is always overblown anyway. Why do people need to search this shit out? Turn on literally ANY shot today and it will touch on every LGBTQ issue, drug abuse, domestic violence, white privilege, toxic "sis" males, everything. It's like a check list. They need someone for wardrobe, for continuity, for social issues of the day. Stop assigning these ridiculous meanings to past movies and or songs as well. I mean, it's not the same thing, but this is the same type of thought process that went into the ridiculous "banning" of "Baby it's Cold Outside," because it's "rape culture."
  24. LOL...his "ultra flexes?" I don't remember that. I remember him I remember watching this movie every year with my team in HS(which...I guess is SUPER gay). See...I just thought it was a way for our coach to have a little pizza party, some team bonding and get ready for the stretch run of the season. How naïve I much have been! I'll go with the other guy. Sometimes... you spit just because you've got to spit. I...I'm not gonna take the bait on this one.
  25. I don't remember Rutt getting "knocked out" vs Heflin and I don't get why this is SO important. So what? You say this like it somehow makes any relevant point since you brought up Rutt, the 1X AA who wrestled...nearly 40 matches his last year at Wisconsin and ~140 in College. But his career was plagued by concussions? Ok. AND? I didn't shit on Greco until someone started talking about how masculine it was and how superior it was to the "women's style." As I said...I had the most success in Greco. It's just a silly argument and coming back with basically, "nuh-uh," doesn't really sway me. I'd think if it was SO much more difficult, you'd find more guys who focus on Greco in the off-season...ya know, winning National Titles rather than citing a guy who took a 7th in...what, 2012? And then claiming this guy who wrestled more matches a year than anyone is now had a career "plague" by Concussions? Your assertion that my assertion is false is just false.
