Yeah, 95 to 106 is 11 pounds. I know that Math can get difficult, but...not 9 pounds. And that's over 10% of his body weight. That's a BIG difference. That's a 150 having to Wrestle ~170. You asked me on another thread why I cared so much about a cease-fire. Why do YOU care so much about a kid being held back a year so he's ready to compete or MORE ready to compete given everything that's at stake for some of these kids? Live changing NIL money. Just 200K at 19 years old is tens of millions if invested right by retirement age. You have an odd metric for "deplorable."

You were part of a thread in which I was literally arguing they should have used more MOPs if they were not certain they could stop and completely destroy Iran nuclear facilities with this strike. So again, you have to be...just comically stupid or asking this question as a precursor to another question. There's not a chance this is a sincere question. So just get to it already. This is like the 5th time you've asked something I've addressed probably 20-25 times, including in conversations WITH YOU.

Yeah, no, I get that. I'm saying if you push back, they can't deny you and they're certainly not going to deny you in a high profile case that's on ESPN. I worked in health care for a period of time. I understand how corrupt it is. They still can't just deny a legitimate claim... So whereas I understand they may deny treatment for normal people from time to time, they need to have a valid reason for denying a transplant as Askren is certainly going to have the resources to challenge the Insurance company.
-
Yeah...that is is a simple question. When you change a word and ask of out nowhere "6-12 hours in prolonged," I didn't know what you were asking. But yes, by definition...it is prolonged. Do you know what "prolonged" means? So I said...with no political bend to it, that I find it odd we're saying we're going to have set a cease-fire so you can launch off another attack...and then Trump said the same thing. So again...what are you even arguing? The definition of words? AGAIN...some of you really need to figure out what the hell you're even arguing. You also just asked if I thought we should allow Iran a Nuclear Weapon...and you're asking ME about MY reading comprehension?
-
Oh Christ... I've posted probably 50 times about what I thought about the bombing and of Iran. If you're still asking this stupid ass question, it's rhetorical or to set up another stupid question, so...please just get to it.

Cool. Lets play that fun little game... Trump said Obama, Biden and Harris would end up bombing Iran because they don't possess his negotiating skills. Trump-Ends up being the only one to bomb Iran after pulling out of an agreement with Iran and not being able use his negotiating skills.
-
... yeah, that'd just be more proof that pulling out of the JCPOA was... a bad decision. But that's why it makes sense to scout. It's basically logical dyslexia. Why did they drop out in 2018? Scout-Iran wasn't following the agreement. His evidence... 'you're naive if you don't believe it. Scout-Iran was months away from a Nuclear weapon. His evidence.. the exact same group that said they were abiding by the agreement in 2018. Why does he believe them in 2025 but not 2018? -He never believes Government agencies. -When pointed out it's not a Government agency... I think he just makes fun of people who plow snow...for some reason.

Right Wingers last 4 years- there wouldn't be any war with Trump Right Wingers Today- It's a good thing Trump was there to bomb Iran! You're like a hacky 80s comedian. "Black Guys talk like this...white guys sound like this." That's...always been abundantly clear. You may be shocked to learn nobody on here has visited recently... though it's on my bucket list for a tourist destination. But based on the early reporting, it sounds as if they do. The main one. The one we used 12 MOPs on.
-
I agree. SOME need to work on both. The people arguing the Country that's so close to Nuclear Weapons that it's imperative we bomb them while also arguing...they need a prolonged period for a cease fire because they have "iPhone in caves," are definitely struggling with both reading comprehension and deductive reasoning.
-
Yeah...he had that hip done, that would have been a few hundred K...or you pay 1600 a month for your family. I'd be shocked if he didn't. And of course, it has to be medically relevant, I was just listing reasons it could be denied and... it being experimental or low risk was the only plausible one I could find. The rest, he takes care of himself, he's got the resources to follow up on a post-transplant regiment, he has a support system. Basically, without knowing any of the details, you can check off the majority of reasons they could decline. So medically necessary, experimental are the two I don't know about...BUT, his wife certainly made it seem necessary.

What is the argument now? Which Religion is more dangerous and prone to fundamentalists attacks? This can't be a real discussion. Domestically-Christian Fundamentalists Globally-Muslim Fundamentalists This shouldn't even be a discussion. This is a predominately Christian Nation, ergo, you have MANY times more "Christians" who commit acts of terror. Globally...even though there are more Christians, there are MANY times more fundamentalist Muslims and they pose a far bigger threat. As for the videos of who is more insufferable, someone praying to Trump or crying to Trump or some...self diagnosed "neurodivergent" person crying... they're both impossible to watch and equally ridiculous.
-
Yeah, I understand that. But in a case that's this high profile...really in any case in which someone needs a transplant, you have people at the Hospital who will help you with the Insurance. For lesser things...even medications, they will deny, but this is on ESPN. I'm not expecting purity from Insurance companies, I'm expecting pragmatism. And I would think Ben's wife and all the people around him would be pressing and looking for questions. He has Dana White in his corner. So it's making wonder if they're using a legitimate reason to deny the claim.
-
Sure. You had 6 sitting there in Guam that they didn't use. But lets just play this out. -Iran, had to be taken care of. Too close to a Nuclear Weapon. They're weeks, maybe days away. We HAVE to bomb them. That's an acceptable risk/reward for the United States. End result? -Set their Nuclear program back 3 months. So was this a success or a failure in your estimation? Was the risk worth 3 months?
-
Perhaps. Send all 19. If this was important enough to do... make sure you finish the job(though...I never believe the US Military...they're not honest about their most advanced aircraft or technology in general...which is fine, the rest of the world doesn't need to know what we have plus there are several other planes that may be able to carry MOPs that...again, the public is just ignorant about). That'd lead me to believe they didn't know this until later... though Leavitt and another UN Spokesman have said they DID destroy the nuclear sites completely. But it was US Intelligence Agencies who said it didn't destroy them. I guess just wait and see more concrete reports. But the cease-fire is holding...even if it didn't happen right on time.

An insurance policy is a legal contract. They cannot just refuse a legitimate claim because "they don't want to." They can say this is "experimental," or not medically necessary, but that's why you have oversight. You can file an appeal or you can ask for a 3rd party arbiter. This usually involves the medical professionals familiar with the case making an argument for or against the the treatment. And insurance company denying a legitimate claim in a high profile case is going to end up costing them a lot more. We all get insurance companies are shady, but they can't operate with impunity. I'm sure the Askren Family and Doctors are figuring it out, but if they're denying the transplant... I would hope it's not for a "valid" reason.

According to the defense department, they have hundreds. https://en.defence-ua.com/industries/us_hits_iranian_nuclear_sites_with_14_gbu_57_bombs_how_many_are_in_stock_and_how_fast_are_they_made-14927.html?utm_source=chatgpt.com As for how long it takes, the same amount of time it takes to fly 1. We have ~20(that we know of) and we had 6 in Guam. I was told(and believe) we had complete control of the Iranian airspace. So the only question should be...did we know we wouldn't be able to completely destroy the bunker before, only slow Iran down, or was this the result of intelligence we found out after the fact.
-
I don't understand if you're arguing just for the sake of arguing here. We're not talking about bombing some Taliban stronghold, we're talking about the Governments of Israel and Iran and it was Israel who kept on attacking after the ceasefire. But yeah, I'm fairly certain they have satellite phones and the like. Some of you really need to figure out what point you're trying to argue. It can't both be a Nation that's "not serious," and "terrorists hiding in a cage," with 200 feet of reinforced Concrete building a nuclear weapon AND a threat so large the US had to bomb them. You really think the dichotomy makes sense? The IRGC can't get reception, they don't have communications... but hey, they are DAYS away from a Nuclear weapon and the capacity to launch it...
-
Sadly...apparently not. If US intelligence is to be believed(and I don't know why they'd lie about this)...most of the underground infrastructure and enriched uranium remains intact. We set them back...maybe 3 months.... which begs the question, why the hell didn't we go back in and keep bombing? Is it just too deep? In my mind, I'd think 12 of those MOPs would...soften it up, if you needed another 12, finish the job. I'd suspect they were not certain until after the fact, otherwise, this entire exercise was futile beyond showing Iran what we're capable of(and they already knew that).
