  1. I believe I can explain why- not sure I could come up with names/year. I was working the event- I believe this was in the 90s. At the time we had a prescribed formula for assigning anklet colors. It was largely based on uniform/school colors. I think we did a 1-5 where 1 was red going out to 5 being green. Then we'd compare the colors and the more red would wear red. If it was tied the top wrestler got red. I'm pretty sure the one school was Nebraska. The other might have been Minn or Wisc. Reddish but still a 1. The formula assigned Nebraska green because it was bottom on the bracket. There was confusion about a stall call and they couldn't resolve it so they rewrestled.
  2. I'm saying he just has to place high enough to qualify. In a sense he'd be stealing someone else's auto-qual.
  3. All he needs to compete are enough successful bouts at EIWAs.
  4. I didn't realize it happened and certainly didn't know the names without looking them up but the one tip I'll give is that it helped to know what years to look for.
  5. Let's be serious- dual is short for dual meet. Duel has no real place in this discussion. Bicycle is also a noun. Doesn't have anything to do with this either. (Other than a means to train)
  6. You probably say Taylor Ham instead of Pork Roll- or worse yet- you don't know either term!
  7. Background on the song for those that don't already know- It was supposed to be In The Garden Of Eden- but the lead singer was so wasted- this is what came out- and they liked it!
  8. It's a gif. find it, right click and copy image link. Then paste.
  9. I know Beau a little- know his father better. Both always smiling and positive types.
  10. The requirement isn't quite for all matches since if it went down during other than the first match what about the ones before? The rule is that if they can't fix it during that match where it was requested then it is suspended for the remainder.
  11. Yes and no to NCAA requirement. It's not required to have video available. However, it is required to inform all institutions involved (in this case just one other one) about how they're doing it. Either they didn't inform Rutgers about it, Rutgers forgot, or the third possibility- it was unexpectedly non-functional at that point. Given that they provided bricks I think the third (and I see WKN says he read elsewhere the same thought)
  12. this is what I was trying for before
  13. Not sure which he meant but he did say NCWA (club) rather than NWCA.
  14. It is 90 rather than 45 but again- only from neutral
  15. I might not follow what you're saying- it sounds like you're asking for the equivalent to a danger call during a reversal. The danger call only applies from neutral.
  16. He was behind before it went to 0. Reaction time- who knows? But the other kid wasn't moving so reaction time might be considered less. In the PSU Smith match- at least there was some motion going on through it all (I still think it was a td when Smith was on his back and the other kid hit a half.) Full disclosure- I know the Fongaro family pretty well- all 3 kids went to Fargo with Team NJ.
  17. Looked to me like it was the actual physical clock in the graphic
  18. Paulsboro High School's wrestling team had a streak of 307 consecutive victories against Colonial Conference opponents. The streak started in 1971 when Haddon Township High School had handed them their last conference loss. It would be nearly four decades until Collingswood High School was responsible for halting the streak on January 16, 2008, with a 28–22 decision over the Red Raiders.[40] Paulsboro had won 25 consecutive state championships in Group I until 2008 when they lost early in the state tournament. According to the National Federation of State High School Associations, that streak was the longest in the entire nation at the time, and only three other teams have won more state championships overall than Paulsboro.[41] The Brandon wrestling team holds the national record for the longest winning streak in not just wrestling, but by a high school sports team (459 straight wins), which spanned from 1973 to 2008. The streak came to an end on January 5, 2008, when Brandon was defeated by South Dade High School 32–28.
