  1. This was his freshman picture, BTW
  2. I don't imagine it all came from one person. I recall a lot coming out of a club near Pittsburgh (Adam Frey's dad among others). I remember hearing of one guy from the 60s inspiring the club to develop it even though that guy wasn't really a big name.
  3. There's one in the OPC at Coe (definitely not this one though)
  4. Politically he is (or at least was) but he's actually quite the pleasant personality to what I have seen.
  5. Of course. He sat out for some period of time also.
  6. Columbia after a few years at Davidson
  7. Some, yes. All, no. Dual meets can probably handle it. Tournaments are the problem. A few years back (5?), a kid from NC was seriously hurt running into the wall because there was no buffer off the mat. This wasn't using college rules but that would have been even worse. Now all this having been said, I think using college ob rules might need to be couple with college edge of mat stalling. Probably helps keep kids momentum from running off.
  8. I agree and it's used at most out of season tournaments. But the reason is simple. A lot of gyms don't have the room off the mat.
  9. 18-2
  10. He might be 50 pounds bigger
  11. Repos, Wilt, Davis
  12. We sent 4 as it was.
  13. This isn't complicated. He was playing football and just now is coming to wrestling.
  14. Right- I was thinking it was school year ending in '82. Midlands are before NYE.
  15. I think BC was more of a transfer eligibility issue.
  16. Yes. He even took an Olympic RS year for that. His father was the national coach.
  17. They tied once. He did lose to Burley. IIRC- it was at Midlands in '82 while redshirting.
  18. They said that in the 90s when they added 215/220. Didn't help and made 2 weaker weight classes.
  19. Hold at second base?
