  1. The garage right at the Arena was $50/day. The lots we saw were ~$11/day.
  2. Shouldn't we be talking about Hunter Lyden in the non-wrestling topics?
  3. I know you're just having fun but there are a lot of Pa towns you won't find on that map. Like Nazareth and Northampton. Works out to more than an acre a person!
  4. Not going to get into every point but will add a point and disagree on one other. Wifi- there was a free no-password wifi in the arena. All I had to do was connect- no login required. It wasn't super fast but generally not bad at all for looking at Track to see what was going on. Added point- parking- There was plenty of relatively cheap (~$11/day) parking around. Not always close but you could reserve it online ahead of time. We didn't realize about it until a little late so we were a mile hike away from arena as our hotel was about 4 miles away. Also didn't realize about the free buses going up and down Main Street right away or that distance would have been much less.
  5. It had been Denny Diehl. I think Jason took it over at some point.
  6. ?? https://www.chicagotribune.com/1991/08/10/loss-to-a-cuban-nobody-keeps-hold-on-us-wrestler/
  7. About 25 years ago the NCAA rules committee discussed rules changes for tournament scoring. I felt a simple solution to the situation where a few placers outweighed a balanced team. My solution was simply to use HS advancement points rather than college version. Keep the 16-12-9-7-5-3-2-1 but give 2 for championship advancement and 1 for consolations instead of the current 16-12-10-9-7-6-4-3 and 1 and .5. They bought into the compressed place point scheme. It did produce Minnesota winning with 10 placers and no finalists which is what they wanted but also produced what @jdalu75 said above.
  8. To me I never really thought the ag school thing was as much about academics as in-state vs out-of-state tuition possibilities for them to utilize.
  9. I was up high towards the center and didn't have that issue unless someone was standing up.
  10. Next door neighbors! I'm not sure.
  11. A few of us were noticing that he wasn't in Edmond's corner. I ran into Mom Ruth at the airport and she told me Ed had moved to Serbia (?) before the season where his wife is from.
  12. But Martin would have almost been Fix's age by then!
  13. Not sure what you mean close in time frame. Martin graduated in 89 Abe in 96.
  14. In particular in the finals they have several views available. I remember one locked hands challenge would not have been visible from the scorers table so they needed something from the other side. And to whoever asked, you can't challenge a challenge although some coaches creatively find something else to challenge.
  15. That's international.
  16. 2020 was the no championships year. 2021 was the year that didn't count.
  17. 30-35 years ago I was at the Wilkes Open just watching. Haselrig was there looking at the brackets on the wall. He looked at me(might have recognized me from ncaas) and asked me "how do the consolations work?" I told him, first you have to lose!
  18. It was blank when I looked a few minutes ago
  19. Could be anyone above. They would have all bumped
  20. Basically he forgot to go to class as I understand it
  21. Jimmy c will be upset if nobody responds to his threads
  22. Yeah but the alternate would have replaced 33 after the rest bumped up. There's no 32 either
  23. I see the rule change in the next book as you say but two paragraphs later they say the same thing but it's not hi-lited. I remember from while I was working (last year 2006) that an Iowa kid didn't weighin 3rd day without prior acknowledgment. They discussed it a while and let him go and made some rule change about it.
