  1. Va Tech kids look sluggish as hell compared to their normal Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  2. The best case scenario next year is McEnelly 74 Salazar 84 Nelson 97, and McEnelly bumps back up after that. I don’t see either of them beating Salazar this year because he’ll be able to tilt either one of them to a major decision, but next year all bets are off if they can’t make the weights work out. Worse case scenario is one transfers out obviously.
  3. I think there’s a non-zero chance that McEnelly ends up wrestling a year or two at 174 before his college career is over. He’s not a huge 184 by any means. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  4. Shameful promotion of my own favorite team but I have to throw Mcenelly’s name into this list considering he’s a cadet world medalist and was a very highly regarded recruit Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  5. He’s not going to be wrestling an AA, he’s going to be wrestling a true freshman that hasn’t wrestled a college match outside of a D3 open. I’m curious why Wittlake is the one that has to prove himself in this discussion and Arnold is the one being given the automatic leg up. If we were talking about Wittlake against like, Patrick Kennedy for example I think it would be a very different conversation. You guys must know more about Arnold than I do, what I’ve seen is a lot of holding center, good defense, the occasional burst of maybe one or two attack per match if he’s wrestling a kid that he doesn’t totally outmatch. I think he’s going to be good in the future, but I’m not picking him here just yet. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  6. Agree 100%. Everyone really underselling Wittlake before this dual. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  7. 235, maybe. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  8. Salazars got quite the grip on those tilts. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  9. Pretty damn good for an unranked recruit true freshman Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  10. McCauley won 5 state titles at Valley. When Robbie Fisher of Bloomington Kennedy (same high school as the Ness brothers) upset him in the state finals, I think it was the loudest sporting event I have ever been to. Apple Valley was *despised* around that time. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  11. Yep. I’m very glad to have him. Some locals would say he’s the best high school wrestler in MN history which is saying something from a state that had Gable Steveson, Mark Hall, Destin McCauley etc. I think he only had one HS loss and almost 200 wins. Just stopped attending any tournaments outside of the regular HS season at an early age so fell off most national radars. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  12. I don’t know think he will outplace Crookham or Bouzakis, in fact I don’t even know if the gophers will pull his shirt this year, but true Freshman Tyler Wells at 133 will make some serious noise as soon as he is a starter. Toughest kid he wrestled at the Bison Open was Derrick Cardinal who he tech’d. I think he’s capable of making the blood round right now. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  13. You have now commented on it as many times as I, I’m not letting you blame only me for this. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  14. I hate myself for being sucked in Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  15. It’s confirmed that it’s not any of our business, but he ain’t coming back for free. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  16. Well it’s a good thing he doesn’t need your approval. There’d be zero upside to me returning to college rn too but if someone paid me 6 figures to go back, hang out with my buddies and coaches I’ve known since I was 16, and have fun competing, I’d be jumping all over it! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  17. I hate myself for that typo Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  18. I agree the dramatic in/out game is terribly annoying, but this outcome is best imo. It is good for wrestling when Gable Stevenson is wrestling. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  19. Spending your career trying to leverage success for selfish purposes is college athletics today. It’s the way it is. What negative effects has he had on teams he is on? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  20. Turns out, gable is the biggest lock Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  21. Everyone needs to shift their HWT rankings down… and put Gable back at #1 Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  22. I consider myself to be someone who follows the top level of high school wrestling/recruiting relatively close, but Walters and Jenkins do not ring any bells. Are they on the same tier as some of those other guys? Rylan Rogers I know. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  23. I was thinking Arnold is a 174 and Kueter plays football but for the sake of argument it’s definitely a noteworthy group Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  24. Which trio ends up best? (I may have weights wrong but best guess I suppose?) Thompson-Merrill-Carroll OkSt McEnelly-Nelson-Hopke Minn Ryder-Mirasola-Mirasola PSU Rogotzke-Geog-Feldman tOSU Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  25. No question. Picking a guy that hasn’t actually won one yet over a potential 4 timer is high quality trolling though. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
