  1. No Daton Fix Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  2. I’m going to call out a bold prediction and say Troy Spratley from Oklahoma State wins this tournament at 125. This will be his coming out party as a title contender. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  3. Brandon Eggums tenure has been kept afloat primarily by Gable Steveson and the ability to develop unknown recruits into top 20ish wrestlers. He’s bought himself some time and seemingly figured out a much better recruiting strategy than whatever he was doing in 2019-2022. He’s recruited really well so far for the classes of 2023, 2024 and beginning of 2025. However, if the likes of McEnelly, Gavin Nelson, Wells, Hopke, Millard and Robideau don’t get this team back in the conversation for top 5 I can see Minnesota being ready for a change. Another odd problem that needs to be fixed as soon as the next offseason is the inability to capitalize on transfers. The highest impact we’ve brought in in 6 years are Sean Russell and Devin Skatzka, who were good, but we have the resources to bring in more. And certainly have the roster holes to fill. 4. Yes, his last two years at KM he bounced all over the place, seemingly to always face the best competition. It was pretty cool, bumping up to wrestle Short and Gavin Nelson and others. Anywhere from 170 to HWT. Only one he obviously never wrestled that I can remember was Kerkvliet. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  5. I wonder when the last time PK actually had to cut weight hard. His last few years of high school even he was at 170 or 182. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  6. Though, if Kennedy were to hit the portal, SDSU is most likely landing spot. Went to high school with the Berge’s. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  7. I’d love to have him up north in his home state Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  8. I haven’t the slightest clue. I think he’d have an even tougher time at heavyweight though. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  9. I would love to see how AJ stacks up against Brooks, Hidlay, Buchanan, Sloan and even Elam. I think the field he went through for his NCAA title was much weaker than this current one at 197. So hoping it’s the over. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  10. I was kinda thinking this too. Odd timing to let that out lol. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  11. He just tweeted it at Willie this morning Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  12. It was a response to Willie’s crystal ball article, saying exactly what is up there. He’s the man, tons of love for him, but 184 was a one time thing. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  13. From the man himself… Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  14. I wouldn’t mind this but if Nelson doesn’t start for 4 years, he’s gone. I think there’s a chance Salazar is done after graduating. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  15. Ope. I think this is how it’ll end up then. No one has more pull in college wrestling right now than wrestlers fathers. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  16. Nothing more frustrating than my team wrestling in what looks like a fun tournament several states away and it not being streamed in any way. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  17. Yeah I think that’s perfect. Minnesota and North Carolina are going to be at Soldier Salute I believe. If they wrestle, Salazar and Kane would be a pretty good litmus test. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  18. Arnold will be instantly elite at 174. Won’t beat Starocci, but could take 2nd and win after Starocci graduates. I think you need a bigger sample size at 184 before pulling his shirt with the mindset that that’s his spot. Feldkamp is a unique wrestler and Arnold wrestled him perfectly, but I think there are those with different types of attacks that would be able to land them easier. Especially if they’re that much bigger. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  19. I’m still confused as to how 184 went down in general. Why would SDSU not want to wrestle their best guy against Salazar with the dual well in reach? Why would the gophers have wanted to use McEnelly instead of Salazar against Berge with the dual in reach? Neither side makes sense to me. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  20. Wondering if the Cougar Clash at SIU Edwardsville will be streamed Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  21. Vombaur beat Carlson last year in this dual, and Salazar majored Berge. I don’t think the results would necessarily be the same, but it’s possible. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  22. Salazar has had a rough start to the year on his feet. I could see a path to victory for Berge if he does not get underneath him. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  23. For those that watched Iowa State vs Wisconsin, I’m curious about the 125 match. Barnett has proven to be a tough out but has had some head scratchers before. Did Terukina look pretty good or did Barnett look out of sorts? Going off recent results of Ayala losing to Kaylor and Terukina majoring a two time AA, I’m very interested in that matchup. 24. SDSU @ Minnesota on Sunday should be a good one. 125 McKee MD Jordan 4-0 133 Wells MD Cardinal 8-0 141 Carlson dec Vombaur 8-3 (flipped if Carlson not healthy) 149 Roberts dec Martin 11-3 157 Swenson dec Blockhus 11-6 (my big upset) 165 Cook MD Brenner 11-10 174 Devos dec Skillings 11-13 184 Salazar dec Berge 14-13 197 Sloan MD Joles 14-17 HWT Tabor dec Rasmussen 17-17 Obviously biggest question marks are if Carlson and Cook are ready to go for SDSU as neither have wrestled a match this year and Carlson just pulled out of the All-Star Classic. Both are 6th year seniors so could see them being on a pitch count. 149, 157 and HWT could easily be flipped the other way too. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  25. This doesn’t look like 25% of the Hendrickson we saw last year Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
