  1. And I thought that was regarded as "negative wrestling" by UWW?
  2. haha I listen to a lot of podcasts... MM does a ton of posturing every episode. But he does have some good guests and does manage to cover some interesting stuff.
  3. I know there is a joke in there, but if you're genuinely curious, this is his coach. Coach Zo.
  4. 29:20 No, he doesn't come right out and say it, but I think it is pretty clear what he means. Schwab did not try to correct him either.
  5. Athletor podcast. Doug Schwab episode. Mike Mal says to Schwab 'I won't mention any names... but he might have received a phone call and an offer of a good chunk of change to leave and go somewhere that "might sound like Penn State'" I don't think he means Kent State. He didn't take the bait; they went with Truax instead.
  6. Absolutely, but he at least pretended to handle it like a second recruitment. Looks like he might lose his job this year, too. All part of God's plan, I'm sure. The difference with Rivera and Keck is that we have reports of PSU associates initiating contact.
  7. Beat me to it. Also they allegedly contacted Keckheisen and offered him 'an obscene amount of money' to join their squat in '23-'24. Both cases seem to be done with proxies, which may have been legal (who knows what the rules are now, let alone in the past?). However, PSU is definitely in the poaching game. People associated with PSU are actively poaching guys, some of whom were definitely not in the portal.
  8. Kueter was off to a slow start, but it became obvious that he just needed to create more wrestling exchanges. Ended up in a few common folkstyle positions which didn't hurt against an international heavyweight. He had better move a bit better against Massoumi, especially after seeing uncomfortable against Mongolia's underhook.
  9. You are correct sir. Unprecedented for the US, I assume. ALL 10 WRESTLING FOR A MEDAL TODAY.
  10. He cooks up steaks on his Traeger then they have red wines from the Napa Valley (if they partake.) Yianni. Nick Lee. Cenzo. Nolf. Maybe Carr. Who am I missing? Have Brooks, RBY, and Zain made the cut?
  11. OK! Glad I'm not the only one who noticed. I didn't notice the entire bracket missing. Glad he is good to go!
  12. Thankfully, he now is listed as having a bout on arena. It wasn't that way this morning. It even had us listed as only having 9 wrestlers in the tourney. It appears to be fixed.
  13. Yes. Feel bad for the room guys. Would have been nice if they were notified in June. Don't get me wrong, happy for SDSU, who is prob in my top 5 of favorite programs. But stinks to the guys who just lost their jobs at the last minute to wrestlers who weren't even in the portal.
  14. Yes. Willie brought it up to Basch on their show. Basch was highly skeptical. The next day Basch changed his mind and said it seemed possible.
  15. But there were room guys at 165 and 197 who thought they were the starters until last week? Right?
  16. Actually did a pretty decent job with Siebricht and Glazier. Both of whom have departed.
  17. Noted Penn State rumpswab Justin Basch posted that he heard it from credible sources, after initially brushing it off. Willie may have brought it up first? The Flo bros had apparently heard the same rumors from credible sources.
  18. They've got 30 million on China and they are going to continue growing while China will start to shrink in the next year or so (maybe already).
  19. As KMF would say "if you know what I mean. And you do know what I mean."
  20. He doesn't need it to go up one more pound. He is now focusing on explosiveness. This is according to FRL. I, for one, would like to see his deadlift without wearing straps.
  21. I'm glad that we are just complaining about the fake injury time on here. It was awful. Another forum I frequent is mostly complaints about how Duke didn't get 5 from the suplesse on the edge with less than ten seconds. I really wanted Duke to win but that throw was initiated about two seconds after the Russian gave up a stepout point. The Russian is WAY out and also has both feet on the ground when you can hear the whistle blown. He is then thrown. Duke was loading him up before the whistle but the actual throw had not started. It was the correct call. But I would have loved some cautions+ 1 for the fake injuries.
  22. Just embarrassing, and then AIN acts like he just mounted some amazing comeback victory and drops to his hands and knees.
  23. I didn't like the way that Duke semi went down.
  24. It might be nice, but I don't see it happening. I don't think we will even see three weights above 200 lbs. Just not enough big bodies (and we have perhaps the best heavyweight depth on the planet)
