  1. It's not Angel vs. Everyone? Not sure he is well-loved by many. I actually know him a little off the mat btw! I will say, I have heard good referees talk about Angel's position and how well he moves on the mat FWIW.
  2. I generally like Rob Koll, but I don't think he would apply this line of thinking to Vito.
  3. Grow up and maybe develop a reliable leg attack by the time you are 26.
  4. Gomez will turn 26 before the tournament! HBD Austin!
  5. Bo Nickal definitely talks about his strong faith when he is interviewed these days.
  6. It seems as if he hasn't looked the same since the year he won it. There have definitely been several injuries over the years. I will say he did look great vs NC State in the dual meet a few weeks back.
  7. What % is Mekhi, though? I feel as we haven't seen anything near 100% in quite some time.
  8. Both graduated from college in 2023.
  9. Maybe. They are definitely up there. It can pretty tough to tell, because they often get the best talent to start with.
  10. Is it just me, or do I remember Dake looking a bit sucked out at 2023 Worlds, as well?
  11. I think this was the article, but it is now behind a pay wall. I wish I could re-read it and see if i still got the same impressions. https://www.wsj.com/articles/olympics-cold-war-wrestling-captain-america-russian-tank-snyder-sadulaev-11628249655
  12. I've been thinking about this for a day, and it reminded me of something on the old board. There was an article in some mainstream publication that usually doesn't cover wrestling (Esquire? GQ?). It compared Saduleev and Snyder. It was an interesting article but seemed to focus quite a bit on Snyder's religion, perhaps poking a bit at him for being a devout Christian. Meanwhile, Saduleev was described like a matinee idol/boy band member. Virtually no mention of his religion. I mentioned that I found it odd and perhaps a bit biased that there is an article that (possibly) mocked Snyder for his religious beliefs, but there was virtually no mention of Saduleev's beliefs and Sad is prob just as devout as Snyder. Well, I was angrily attacked as a Bible-thumper, just for making this observation. While I do practice my religion, I don't go out and make open proclamations nor am I bringing it into any conversation with anyone outside my church. Just a mention of this was enough to enrage former poster s_____n. It was kind of crazy.
  13. I saw him lose to #14.
  14. Aaron Nagao would have been interesting, too.
  15. I do not disagree, and I do not really see Jack as a title contender, but... how solid was that ACC 141 class for a 6 school conference? (Jack #4, McNeil #5, Matthews #14, Crook #16)
  16. Lee and RBY graduated the same year.
  17. Because everyone knows that PSU and Michigan get zero transfers . (PSU had 4 transfers this weekend; Michigan 4; Iowa also 4)
  18. But, with Jimmy Z, they had an heir apparent waiting in the wings. I don't see that now. (and I'm talking about a guy with college coaching and head coaching experience as well as Olympic gold)
  19. Didn't at least one of those guys graduate the same year as RBY? Don't you mean you want to see more PSU docs, not "more current?"
  20. Not PSU or Iowa, but I'd be surprised if they weren't in the next tier of schools as far as donations to the program and fan support go. (and isn't his name "Crooham?" )
  21. Not accurate. They haven't practiced together in quite some time.
  22. OK thanks. I liked it better when anyone who ever made a US team would have their birthdates pretty easy to find. (or on the college roster) https://cyclones.com/sports/wrestling/roster/austin-gomez/11137
  23. Take it up with UWW. I provided the link.
