  1. Yes. But it wasn't about wrestling; it was about the football and baseball revenue but was applied to all sports. How much revenue did the NCAA lose by not having March Madness in 2020? They were going to do their best to avoid the same loss in 2021.
  2. Especially since he started overly taping his hand again.
  3. Pretty cool. Imagine if I didn't say Eierman won Pan Am and had better international accolades than Nick Lee!!!!
  4. That's pretty good. I think it was Teague Moore who said that while he was coaching at Harvard, Granit Taropin (Soviet coach who trained Belaglazovs) was also there. Taropin couldn't believe how often Americans left Big Bruce off the GOAT lists.
  5. Beautiful song. I don't hate Chris Cornell's cover either.
  6. Fantastic stuff. Please don't do my last 100 posts. I had a bad day with alternative wrestling facts on Wednesday. Give it a few weeks! (Although I did use "pilloried" the other day as well)
  7. National titles from previous years and All-Star matches technically do not count, but where do we think coaches get the starting points for their rankings at the beginning of the season?
  8. Supposedly a retired coach got involved and threw his weight (all 136.5 lbs of it) around?
  9. Sickos were filming weigh-ins and posting online
  10. I think the NCAA looks at all conference champs as being equal in their formula. Any difference in difficulty should be factored into quality wins.
  11. OK. What do YOU think happened?
  12. They had more time to cut weight, because they were not in the correct are on time. Do we agree? Their opponents were not given the extra time to cut weight, hence they likely did not need as much recovery time. What other rules do you suppose we decide to ignore? These were rules that came into being due to three deaths. Shouldn't they be the most important?
  13. Bikes are so comfortable to sit on!
  14. They weren't in the correct location when they were supposed to be. They know the routine. They were on exercise bikes instead of the appropriate room. Extra time. Then they got extra time to recover before their matches. Why weren't they with their team and coaches? Extra time.
  15. But is the Big 12 official story actually a fact. Air Force was under the impression that they were receiving a forfeit. The story you are repeating could very well be true, but it could also be damage control.
  16. I agree, but there is allegedly a lot of weirdness. Were told to get off the bike. Got off and then got back on. Weigh in areas are pretty serious now. No standing on head. No haircuts. No jogging in place. Etc. The wrestlers and coaches all know this. We got ourselves in a lot of trouble in 97. Rules like this are to ensure that we don't have any severe weight cuts and that everything is on an even playing field. What about the fact that their opponents were told they were receiving forfeits? How about the fact that the wrestlers in question got more recovery time off the scale? Any truth to the lawsuit rumors?
  17. I'm sure it is talked about on the Big 12 thread, but I'm not motivated to sift through all of the posts. What are people thinking/saying about the situation. I am a fan of DT's wrestling and I have never been an Oklahoma State hater, but it really looks like UNI got a bad deal here. I hope the situation doesn't start a bad precedent.
  18. What is your interpretation of the 2nd amendment? Why does it exist? Should it apply to 2025? Should I be allowed to own an AR-15?
