  1. Yeah but PSUs antiquated training methods have beaten his body down badly and he is physically a shell of what he was as a Gopher.
  2. Oklahoma State is anti-waist band.
  3. Maybe Heskett? But, I saw them both at the 97 Dapper Dan and felt Sanderson looked better. Little did we know that Heskett has some really serious cardiac issues. I wonder how much, if any, these issues were affecting him in high school and college.
  4. As a Wolfpack fan, can I get a thumbs down emoji?
  5. I wrestled D2. Graduated in early 90s. I had a teammate qualify for the d1 tourney. Another guy, my roommate was 5th in D2 and had multiple wins over qualifiers including splitting with a R12 guy, including a win by major in their last meeting as seniors. A lot has changed in 30 years. The D1s are better at recruiting and don't miss on as many guys. The d1 training and coaching is better than it was, I think. Also the lower divisions don't get to challenge themselves as much against the big boys anymore. My roommate had a much closer match against the r12 guy than he thought it would be in their first meeting. That gave him a lot of confidence. When they met each other again less than a month later, my roommate took it to him and even turned the guy. I'm not sure how much that could happen these days.I mean, I was maybe above average d2 and I would hold d1 qualifiers/top 20 types to a regular decision if I had a decent match.
  6. Deguire shouldn't be much of a surprise. Had 6 pins in tourney and a 3rd place finish two years ago. Missed last year. Very entertaining. Wrestles like a middle school wrestler, but hits everything HARD.
  7. Thank you! All time great stuff!
  8. I love all these guys, and a good list, but I think Lee Kemp (not Schultz) was the presumptive USA Olympian in 1980.
  9. Could someone please please please get 100 old Kentucky Mudflap posts and run them through this AI?
  10. It was for all sports.
  11. And that is one of the major differences. Brennan was extremely under the radar.
  12. I see a lot of people not caring about rules these days.
  13. How many people do you need to count "1 year, 2 years, 3 years, 4 years... ok, eligibility expired"? 40 kids on their roster. I'm guessing it doesn't take a lot of work to make sure 40 kids haven't used more than 4 years. No one in their program could accurately count to 4?
  14. Yes. And they/we were making it up as we went along. For about two years.
  15. It is kind of a big deal, especially when it is that person's job. Do you think the kid or his teammates or his coaches didn't have an inkling that something was a bit fishy? JV Rader did, for crying out loud!
  16. I don't think they knew how long the thing was going to last. That affected decision making.
  17. I loved The Who growing up. Saw The Who only once, but Daltrey twice lol. The first time I saw Daltrey was in 1985. Before cellphones, I was just a 16 year old waiting outside in the December to be picked up by my father. As I was waiting, I saw the tour bus only about 50 ft away and people were boarding. My buddy and I walked up and were able to catch Roger, tell him how great he was an get an autograph. He was much kinder and more gracious than he needed to be. And short. Took my son, who loves rock, to see The Who in 2022 when he was 17. They performed a very Tommy heavy set early on, but focused more on Quadrophenia later. No Punk/Godfather though! The boy and I then saw Daltrey last summer.
  18. I am FAR from Starocci's biggest fan, but even I can see a clear difference. I'm also not an NCAA compliance officer, but I know that a lot of someones made a huge mistake. Should Cael get a 5th year?
  19. Lot of mistakes being made. Compliance personnel, coaches, and the athlete can't count to 4? My guess is at least one of those parties knew what was going on.
  20. OK. Troy's son. I don't think either belong in any list of all-timers, but Dad looked like he was on his way before a head scratching loss to a good (not great) opponent in NY. https://www.recordonline.com/story/news/2001/03/15/bouzakis-still-grappling-with-disappointing/51187969007/
  21. I was told second hand info (but good source) that Rohn had a very bad shoulder and wasn't too keen on his chances that weekend. This would seem to fit in with how easily he was going over with that tilt.
  22. Someone is not happy with their estimated IQ and "dark triad" profile!
