  1. You might be the first Ohio State fan I’ve ever seen not put a t in front
  2. He seems to know the names so I would guess Facebook
  3. This is what I thought when he started talking about it but at 30:59 he says “here’s the posts and everybody’s name that sued me,” but could have been a Freudian slip I suppose
  4. Two Coleman Scott updates that I haven’t seen discussed here. 1. He appears to have also been hired to coach a youth club at Edmond North in Oklahoma one night a week, in addition to the Ohio RTC job. 2. He did an interview on Intermat a few weeks ago. The most notable part is probably him addressing allegations of financial misconduct against him. TL/DR, he was really pissed about the allegations and that was the reason he was considering leaving wrestling (so, not not getting the OSU job). At first I thought he was just referring to Facebook comments or something but towards the end he seems to mention that someone is suing him?
  5. Thought this was pretty good:
  6. I doubt that has anything to do with it, and I have a feeling he knew all along he was going to try to make this year’s world team. But I bet he retires if he doesn’t make the team, 1 because it’s in Nebraska and 2 because if he doesn’t make the team where Olympians can’t even compete then it’s probably going to be even tougher to do it in the future
  7. Why would they do that? Can Spratley not make 125 of Hughes not make 133?
  8. Is it really a comeback? He just competed 4 months ago, and never announced he was retiring did he? He did however seem to imply he would retire before 2028 by seemingly committing to commentate for LA.
  9. I assume by “right program” you mean one that doesn’t exist yet? Iowa is the only one people currently care about and considering they already have Blades coming I’m not sure adding Elor would really “transcend wrestling.”
  10. Learned something new about x/twitter today. If you want to leave your old x identity behind you should create a new account, because I searched the handle above and it comes up with a different handle, still has “Greg” in it though. Looks like he has no X posts between 4/17 (OTT was 4/19) and 6/13. So more evidence it was likely him. edit: and not surprised that he’s a crypto bro
  11. Looks like this guy was wrong about JB’s career being over
  12. Hey hey I already made that joke!
  13. Agree his comments seemed mainly in reference to Downey. One because Downey won a match and two because apparently people thought he should have won the second as well. It couldn’t have been in reference to Nolf because his opponent didn’t do the lay on his back thing.
  14. Everyone did. It was an invitational, there were only 16 guys in each of the 2 brackets
  15. What “many” great competitors is 57kg too high for? Kurt McHenry? He’s the only one I can think of.
  16. I’ve seen this described as “the best match in the history of the sport”: I’ll give them them that it was pretty entertaining, but it reminded me of a county level high school wrestling match with some chokeholds mixed in, and at times looked like 8 year old siblings fighting each other when the one guy kept putting his hand over the other guy’s mouth.
  17. According to Chael, the “strong rumor” is Zuckerberg, but Jones says it is a “crypto guy”
  18. Is Flo part of the reason people are “flipping the bird” at it?
  19. Just speculation but I’d imagine Gilman and RBY hadn’t practiced together much since RBY graduated
  20. I took a peek at the OSU forum, there was some innuendo about Williams, such as a post from June saying that Williams had “been getting in trouble,” some from November saying that he “continues to make poor choices” which led to him being in the “doghouse” at one point. But even among their fans it didn’t really seem to common knowledge though
  21. RBY, Gilman and Fix all training together. Combine them into one person and they probably beat Spencer
  22. This will always be my favorite song about moving to Austin (language NSFW, I have never been to Austin so can’t speak to it’s accuracy)
  23. He’ll be coaching youth wrestling, so wouldn’t be surprised if he still competes
